Match thread Swansea v Villa 26.12.2018
Really need to get something (3 points) out of this one, the defence looked all over the place on Sunday but I expect DS change things a bit, lets hope it brings a result, I'm going for a tough 1 nil to Villa.
Happy Christmas all (Hopefully)

We desperately need a win, otherwise top six is going to look like an almighty task if other result go against us, never mind top two. That, and we don't want to turn our run of one win in five to one win in six. Can't say I'm feeling very confident though.
I think it's going to be another one of those games where the opposition get a few goals, so if we're to win, we're going to have to get three or four ourselves... A scrappy 1-0, would probably do us good, just to show that we're capable of such a result, which sometimes you need when going for promotion.

The problem we have is that we can’t really change much at the moment, injuries and lack of depth in defence restrict any changes. We can’t change anything at the back, realistically. Maybe if Taylor is back we can drop Elmo and put Hutton across at RB, but there are no options at CB. January simply can’t come soon enough.

Bruce's negligence left us with no proper defence, which shafted us in his first ten games and got him sacked. It has continued to shaft Dean Smith ever since, as he has to rely on outscoring the opposition.
For Swansea, bring in Revan or Bedau alongside Chester. Move Bree to right back and hope Cafu is having one of his better days at left back.
Best hope now is a decent window resulting in a play-off spot.

Be interesting to see what Dean does with the defence especially Elmo who has now cost us 3 goals in 2 games!
Bree to right back for me and perhaps Jedi is fit enough to play CH otherwise play Revan and risk it, just can't be worse!
We have to struggle to January before some reinforcements can arrive.
Long day ahead of me to see Villa at Swansea, just know it will be worth it, in DS we trust!
