Villa v Forest 28.11.2018 match thread
Another day another tough match, we need more of the same from the boys, injuries are starting to come but we have the squad to cope just need to keep the pressure up. Grabban will be a problem IMO but the confidence from Sunday should give us the edge IMO, i'm going for a 1 nil Villa but if they want to really turn it on I wont complain. UTV

Will be a hard game, Forest have only lost two games and Grabban is on form at the moment. Still think we can get a win, will be close.Need to stop the silly mistakes, big plus it's at villa. UTV.

We’re going to have to raise our performance level again, Forest are defensively sound. Hopefully McGinniesta will be back for this game, and hopefully our CBs are back on song. I think we’ll really need to fight for a 3-2 win

I hope we cut out the suicide passes out of defence. We are not good enough to pass to players who are close marked and keep possession in the area around 30 - 40 yards from our own goal. It has cost us a lot of goals this season already.
A tight win and no more injuries would be a good result.

Forest are on form, but since Smith came in we've actually done better than them, and even when you take the season as an whole, they're only one place and three points better off than us, and that's with us having had Bruce in charge for the first eleven games, and then MacDonald for the Millwall game, overseeing a disastrous start for us.
Against a team outside the top six, and at Villa park, it's a game we really should be winning, if we're serious about climbing the table and challenging for promotion.

It's our biggest issue now, isn't it. Grealish used to drop deep to collect these balls and bring them up the field but he seems to have been told to stay further up the pitch. It's a fairly easy thing for an opposition manager to spot, just press the defence because they'll tie themselves in knots refusing to hoof it up the pitch. And yet sometimes the hoof is the answer and we have the pace and bulk in the attacking half to deal with it.

Might as well attack because we sure as piss can't defend. Giving the ball away in our own half has cost us again. When we get a defence in January we are going to burn off everyone in this league.

Chester has not seemed at the races for a few games, certainly not looking the same Chester that had Terry next to him which on the one hand isn't surprising but it's disappointing to see him potentially becoming exposed. Hopefully it's just a blip.

At least we're level, just need to win the second half now, can't say I'm overly confident that we won't concede again though.

Tuanazebe has been solid next to him so I would say Chester is just having a bad spell, but we cant change anything as we all know, I just wish Nyland would look as if he is watching the ball they have flashed past him into the net and he doesn't move a muscle, we have been very very generous IMO tonight looks a lot like after the Wolves game last year.

Nyland is the biggest liability in the team and Steve Bruce can be thanked for all of our goalkeeping woes. Fuck you Steve Bruce.

Oh FFS, 5-5.
We're shoring up our lead but can't defend so all it takes is them to do what they've been doing all evening and that's that. We'd better hurry up and stop wasting time.
