Very hard to call this one, if we've had a good 2 weeks of practice to gel and its worked then I can see a nice 3 points, but its Villa so we will have to wait and see, on the fence or what?

Edgy win for me and then we will pick up some confidence. Does anyone know if the top tier of Trinity will be open for this game because i think it could be a full house.

@De Kuip was saying it's hard to get tickets so if they don't open it for this game, it won't be much longer until they do.
I think we'll dominate for most of the game, leading 1-0 from around the 20th minute but we'll make life very hard for ourselves in the last 15 with them hitting a post.

Re: Villa v Forest: match thread.
Possibly it might have been asking for log in/buying history whatever due to maybe not on general sale until Monday so I jumped the gun possibly about restrictions on tickets? I'm sharing a season ticket this year anyway so I'll be in usual place in K4
Don't suppose anyone wants a Barnsley ticket for the tuesday night game do they. Just an early head's up as my lad is buying one just to build up an away game purchase history but can't actually make the match.

Not worth a separate thread so thought I'd stick a quick OT piece of info...apparently Kodjia scored a superb overhead kick to secure a place in the African Nations Cup. Bodes well for us if he's in form!

"Minor knock" according to Brum Mail.
So either a small bruise or his leg has fallen off

Re: Villa v Forest: match thread.
Edgy 2-1 win, on another note, for any stato's out there, is this the first time two former European Champions have met in a league game outside of the top flight of their respective league?
Were Forest in the 2nd division last time we were there?

Re: Villa v Forest: match thread.
Forest is a big club in my eyes always liked them especially that 90's side with Roy Collymore Pearce Des Little Charles Cooper etc they played some good footie and just like us they got screwed over by the owner not investing in them,
Big boys game this although thesedays if Forest come away with a point i think they would take that tbh,
Can see us winning this 2-1 or we will hammer them if it all comes together, depends how long the gelling will take imo

Does anyone reckon any of our matches coming up will be televised? This radio stuff is depressing

Yep agree Billy always liked Forest and their fans - well at least the ones I've bumped into in pubs at away games back in the day - have always been a good bunch. Reminds me actually of a story of a mate I used to work with years ago who was a mad Forest fan and so was his brother up in Nottingham. His Bro worked for GPO telephones as it was in those days and he used to tap into cloughie''s phone calls at the exchange box by the ground to try and get inside info on what was going on. Top quality ITK work lol I guess digital phones saw off that avenue of spying ha ha

LOL quality damn technology now we have to rely on Narla not being in the pool sipping a peenacolarda or some bloke called dodgey agent dave on twitter for the latest goings on,
But same as you always seen them as a good club and hated seeing them dragged down the leagues never had a problem with there fans at games either, i used to love the Villa Forest games though always up there as one of my favourites and always seemed decent entertaining games, be nice if they came up along with us.
