Purslow now listed as a company director on the club's Companies House page, and as a director of some of the sub companies as well.

If he doesn't go peacefully is there any chance we can move him sideways to work in admin or something? Maybe set up an over 50s team and put him in charge of that? Or maybe a new career in PR?

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
Yes seems like things are starting to happen now... And according to the daily mail, we've sacked seven members of our 'technical team' including Ian Atkins, who I think was meant to be our head European scout... They also say that there are suggestions that in the coming weeks we're going to appoint a Sporting Director and mention Eduardo Marcia who has previously worked with Purslow, but not sure if they mean as a replacement for Round or Atkins.

Yep, looks like it's a clearout of Bruce cronies by Purslow.

John Percy reporting it in the Telegraph now... And he also says that Bruce's position is under review, it's now been changed to 'Despite the opposition from fans towards Bruce, it is understood there are no plans to dismiss him at this stage.'

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
Surely Purslow isn't deaf and hears the catcalls and groans around the stadium? That and what will be diminishing attendances due to the poor quality in football being played. Bruce's position SHOULD be under review, no-one should be safe.

I'd like to have seen all the coaches go as there isn't much evidence matchday of any technical cohesion.
Possibly binning the coaches would be too draconian and I think they'll go when Bruce goes and good riddance to the lot of them.

I wonder if others who - like me - are of a certain age, read the way of the hoof in a Foggy Dewhurst voice...

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
We are forgetting that Bruce is telling the coaches what style of football he wants to play, it did seem to change when Agnew came in. We have no idea what's going on the training ground, some rumours about Bruce not even showing up which is not surprising. We just have to wait for a manager who takes a interest in what's going on in training, soon I hope.UTV.

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
OT I know but with all this desperate waiting it reminded me of a story a mate of mine told me years ago.
He was from nottingham and some years before, his brother worked for what was probably GPO Phones in those days back in notts.
So he (the brother) was an absolute Forest fanatic, and his patch was often around the City Ground. This gave him lots of opportunity to tap into Cloughie's phone line from the local exchange boxes, so he was often in possession of info that even the press weren't aware of.
Course, this was well before the days of social media and therefore only a small circle of his mates had the info passed to them, plus he'd get the boot if it got out.
Always made me smile that story, I wonder what could be heard if SB's phone calls could be hacked today. Be very interesting, I bet!

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
Understand that we have not replaced the last fitness coach - a key position in the modern game.
Not much point in employing a new one, if the new owners are about to sack the Manager. The new Manager will want his own guy.

"Why aye, I'll have a donner mix, hold the salad, and 6 pieces of southern fried chicken, and can you throw on some onion rings too? Oh and for my main course I'll have family size tandoori chicken in a naan bread, again hold the salad. And a coke. Full fat please."

Sack Potato Head today and I will wear a pharaoh hat and start chanting "USA, USA, USA!!" at the next home game?
