Companies House
If I'm understanding 'satisfaction of charge 6' in the above link, then it looks like we took out a loan against Villa Park.
"Xia"! Not sure about that, where would he get the money to settle those loans?
Just been reading on twitter that Villa are now the third wealthiest club in the UK, How true that is remains to be seen.

Just been reading this article about Wes Edens and his Fortress Investment company:
https://www.wsj.com/articles/wesley-edens-is-an-investor-with-an-affinity-for-the-underdog-1532111122
This chap seems to know how to turn things around, Be a great move to rename Villa Park to Villa Park Fortress Stadium

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
I haven’t posted much since our relegation, but every season I ask myself why do I bother torturing myself by supporting The Villa? I mean, I’m an American with no ties to Brum. It could be so much easier to support one of the “bigger” clubs like all the other plastic fans over on this side of the pond. Then, we have a week like this past one. Days away from administration, the prospect of losing all our best players, and being doomed to free fall in the lower divisions with no end in sight, to new owners and now possibly being one of the richest clubs in the world. Just when it possibly couldn’t be a worse time for the club, a savior shows up on our doorstep who can possibly turn it all around. Weeks like this are why I’ll always bleed claret and blue, because there never is a dull moment at the B6. Supporters like you all on TBAR keep me coming back for more and keep me stressing about my beloved Villa. No matter how much money the club has or how bleak our outlook is, I’ll always be here supporting Aston Villa with you all. Thanks for keeping this place the friendliest claret and blue forum on the internet.

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
Well lets hope these guys can help bring the good times back, doing a bit of reading up on them, and it's like they're what we were hoping Xia was when he bought us, only with these guys the evidence of their successes is there for us all to see, just have to hope they can transfer it to being football club owners... If they can then this really could be a turning point in the club's history.

Well if they bring in Henry as manager then that is some statement of intent there?

Rongtian He and Tracey Gu have both been removed as director's on all the various companies the club has listed on companies house, whereas Sawiris has been added as a director on all of them... His private jet also landed at Birmingham airport last night.

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
If I'm reading this, right, Xia has had his shares in Lotus Health frozen by a Chinese court, because he couldn't pay back a loan of £30m that they took out from a bank... Would explain his tweet from the weekend... I mention it here, as I wonder if it might lead to him selling the rest of his shares to Edens and Sawiris sooner than expected... I notice a few 'resolutions' were added to Recon's Companies House, yesterday, I've no idea what they mean though.

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
My feeling is that it was always a face saving deal so important to chinese culture.
By that I mean that I always thought around xmas we would see Xia leave altogether - a kind of controlled withdrawal a few months in.
If, however, things are unravelling fast for Xia, face saving or not we might see him sell up within the next few weeks.
Shame how it all turned out as I had high hopes, but if in future he is remembered only for leaving us in the hands of a couple of mega-billionaires, then I'll take that!

We probably dodged a bullet by not being promoted.

Exactly my thought, ultimately it could be a blessing in disguise.

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
It definitely seems like a blessing in disguise, so much so that if I was somehow given the chance I wouldn't go back and reverse the play-off final result, and at the time losing that game was probably the most disappointed I've felt from a football result.
What's going to be interesting is seeing who NSWE bring in as CEO, which surely must be due soon, as it's been a month now since they bought us.

Following the above link to companies house, it now shows that an extra £30m has been put into the club, previous statement of capital was £73m, it's now £103m... I don't know how these things work, but maybe that's the rest of Xia's share's being bought out.

Something's going on on Companies House, hopefully it's Xia being bought out totally... Knowing our luck at the moment it will be him buying back Edens and Sawiris's shares.

The entry is against Recon so that is the end of the good Doctor, £54m to the good!

About 3 months earlier than I originally thought, but absolutely fits with the leave without shame narrative.
Wonder if Xia had begged NS/WE to keep bruce on until he went - hope so cos the coast is clear now if that's the case!

Yes if this really is them completing a full takeover, then I hope that that's what they've been waiting for before really getting to work with bringing in new people to the club, including someone to replace Bruce.

Any truth that Howard Hodgson is aiming to get onto the board?
With all the contacts he has, who could wish for a better fan representative?

Well we would be kept in the loop by Howard? No one likes the sound of his own voice more than HH? I bet he has brought a nameplate for his office door already "H. Hodgson Esq. Super Fan."

Just had a quick look at "Who's Who" on OS and Xia is still a Co Chairman and Purslow is not even mentioned.

Re: ASTON VILLA TAKEOVER THREAD
Xia will still be listed until Sawiris and Edens completed a full takeover, he's definitely lost his power though, his shares have been deferred, and all mention of Recon has been removed from every aspect of the club. Not sure what's going on with Purslow, I can only imagine they're waiting until they own the club fully before speaking fully... Coming days should be interesting, hopefully for good reasons.
