GTC: Villa v Preston
Still seats available according to the O/S as of the time of this post (see the image below; green are the largely empty areas, yellow are limited availability)
@gdale1 is well in the lead but there's still plenty of time for him to be caught. A fantastic battle for the other top spots!
Good luck all.

Sorry Dan I know it's close to yours but I always put my guess in then scroll up to see others after.
Plus I can't win anyway as I'm supplying the prize lol!

Re: GTC: Villa v Preston
On the subject of a prize (or maybe prizes if a couple of other things work out) and because I'm hopelessly trapped in the seventies, I thought the winner of GTC might like this (please for the love of McGrath can the winner be on the UK mainland postage-wise, it looks like it weighs a ton!):
The Big Aston Villa Book of the Seventies is a 420-plus page encyclopedia featuring match reports of every first team match played across the whole decade with player profiles of each player that pulled on the first team jersey with photos, along with team line-ups from reserve team matches as well as coverage of the youth team. There’s also never to have been printed pictures and stories. Plus there is exclusive access to the amazing Birmingham Mail / Mirror Pix photo archive.
Abbott claims that you wouldn’t believe just how many thousands of hours have gone into this project, “I’ve spoken to football associations all over the place to gain some of the information and have spent so much of my time on the telephone to clubs across the continent. There’s one story that stands out above them all though, Villa played a friendly away at St Martin’s in Guernsey back in November 1972 and yet I couldn’t find the team sheets for love nor money. I even bought several copies of the match programme in the hope that inside just one of them at least that somebody had scribbled down the teams without joy. In the end I placed an advert in one of the newspapers over in Guernsey and thankfully, out of nowhere, some random chap got in touch, he had actually scribbled down the teams that day and still had the programme. He sent me a copy. Talk about needle in a haystack! The match itself finished 5-0 Villa. Jimmy Cumbes picked up an injury on the day of the game and so Villa had to fly in the then youth team keeper Jake Findlay to play in goal – he arrived at the ground just half-an-hour before kick-off! The research that has gone into this book makes it extra special and it’s a piece that I am extremely proud of.”

That book looks awesome and i can imagine had hours and hours of research put into it! wonder if he's going to do one for every decade lol.
My guess this week is 30,501
