Can anyone offer any reason why we bothered requesting Ayew to remain with us when we didn't play him?

There are highlights on the internet if someone cares to link (I'm driving so can't at the mo). The first half looked beyond terrible and the goal was simply indescribable!

Maybe it was his turn to wash the kit this weekend and he needed to drop it off on his way to Africa?

Or maybe we wanted Kodjia to be made available and couldn't request one without the other?

Or maybe he is subject of a decent bid and we decided last minute not to risk playing him?

Or maybe Bruce doesn't know what he is doing?

I was at the game & the 1st half was the worst I have seen this year... How we only conceded one is anybody's guess. The goal was a comedy of errors & a complete shambles that was repeated several more times but without a goal being scored.

The midfield was non-existent & McCormack ran around but got nothing played to him at all....

The 2nd half showed improvement but not enough & we need to bolster the middle areas ASAP...
