Cardiff vs Aston Villa match thread

Well what can I say? I WANT MY TITLE BACK!!!..and hopefully I'll have that belt around my waist come 5pm Monday . Anyway now for some info about the game. Cardiff's game at Brighton was called off yesterday and as soon as it happened you had Villa fans on twitter saying "advantage Cardiff" ..REALLY? Our game is FOUR DAYS after we last played and we're worried about that? Not for me...imo class will be the main difference in this game, not energy.

The bad news ahead of this game though is the Ivory Coast apparently rejected our plea to allow Kodjia to play in this game!!!..bloody shocking but I guess it is what it is. Ayew is allowed to play though and I'm hoping it will be him, MCcormack and Adomah as the front three. Grealish had a dead leg on Thursday so it will be touch and go as to whether he makes it back on time.

I suspect it will be a tough encounter but one we have a good chance of winning if we play to our potential. With this being the last league game for two weeks it would be great to get the three points and really make a big move near to the top six.

I'd like to see Richards back in at right back if possible. Even his delivery is better than Hutton.
Westwood, Gardner, Bacuna to provide the energy we need in a midfield 3.
Ayew, McCormack, Adomah for width and intelligence from the front 3.
RHM to come on when Ayew proves too selfish.

Rumours spreading that Kodjia has been cleared to play!!..if so then that's a major boost for us. Also apparently Sky are claiming that Jack is definitely ruled out of the game aswell which is a shame but hopefully we'll cope.

All in all not a bad team I guess. Jedi was struggling against Leeds so I'm thinking Bruce has decided to rest him. Shame Kodjia can't play but it's a big chance for Ross to really stake his claim now. Nice to see Murphy and Tish on the bench too. Word is Cardiff's team have five defenders and two defensive midfielders so they may try to frustrate us today. If so then Ayew can come on for one of the midfielders.
