ps: Don't think that Rhodes is totally dead. The Akpom thing may be to shake things loose at Boro.

FP you said we have to remember he plays for FC Basel like it was a bad thing. I'd have any of their first team tomorrow. I've got to be honest and regardless of how it turns out, on paper he is by far the player I'm most excited about, and the fact that it's gone from nothing to virtually signed in no time at all is pretty impressive. I mean no one predicted that did they?

I'm not sure about Chuba Akpom, his goal tally leaves a lot to be desired. Only seven goals for Hull and three of those were in one game against Bury, and no goals for Arsenal, Brentford, Forest or Coventry, albeit he's only played and handful of games for each those teams.

Sky Sports transfer watch has said Conor hourihane to Palace is 3.9/5 likely to happen. Has anyone seen a single link to Palace cos I can't find one. I'd be mightily pissed if trigger happy allardyce nicked him last minute. Palaces transfer strategy seems to be bid for everyone everywhere
