Utterly clueless. And what made it worse that that he got away with it because Fox and Lerner were so galactically stupid.

Don't have money to burn but need a solid, experienced, dependable player? Moneyball computer says to buy a kid from Barca B and pay him more than anyone else.
Need a solid English core to get us out of trouble? Moneyball computer recommends French players.

What's impressive is that this new regime has identified the people at the heart of our downfall and has done what's possible to be rid of them.

In Paddy's case, he was turfed out by Round on Day 1. I can just imagine the scene:
- "Welcome Steve. Great to have you on board. I've set this ipad up with an account to my player database and...."
- "Get the fuck out. Take your toy with you.

He set himself extremely LOW standards, which unfortunately, he failed to live UP to.

Its interesting to see which members of the press have tried to defend him by saying he was over promoted etc. Guess we know who their source inside VP was
