Score draw. Jedinak coming in makes our midfield look 10 times better but still lacking goals. McCormack to score.

I'm hoping my predictions remain completely wrong, went with a total loss.

Anyone know a Bristol City fan who'd come on here and offer their thoughts on the game?

Think we're gonna win 2-1, but it won't be pretty and won't look like a promotion candidate.

Eventually it's all going to click up top and we score a hatful. Why not this week?

Re: Bristol City: match thread
Sorry folks - we always loose on my Birthday - Im going for a 1-0 loss
I remember when I was teenager, in around 1977 , we played Everton at home - a game we were expected to win - dad took me as a birthday treat - couldn't believe it when we lost. ....
I consoled myself with the fact my girlfriend had promised to show me her jugs on the sat night.....but she was ill, and dumped me shortly after that. to this day I have never seen Sally's jugs......

My hopes exactly! All the shots are going to bounce in off the woodwork not out!

And since then, she's changed her name to Lisa and is currently torturing Billy with her reluctance to put out....
Meant to say - a solid win for me - 2-0 to Villa with goals from Jack n Mac.

So Tish and gestede out sat. I'm a little worried with gestede being out as kozak looked useless last week. Wonder if he'll push Rmc up and put Ayew pr jack behind. We could do with getting 3 points sat

Sign a striker by tomorrow and a win is on the cards. Otherwise 0-0 or. 1-0 loss.

RDM - We've no decent back up strikers on the bench this weekend.
Xia - things that bad?
RDM- Yep
Xia - Anyone we can turn to if we're THAT desperate?
Gabby - I'm not doing anything this weekend, boss.
Xia.....

If we don't sign a striker I hope we either use Murphy or move McGoal up and put Green on the wing. If I have to watch Kozak lumber around this weekend I'm gonna be in a bad mood.

Re: Bristol City: match thread
Agreed. I thought Gestede was lacking in mobility until I saw Kozak at Derby.

I think it will be a hard fought win for us, Jedinak will tighten up our midfield, setting the big Mac up for a couple.

Re: Bristol City: match thread
I don't care how but 3 points as must, we've drop 4 points in last 2 games. wish we would persist with Ayew and Jack as our width as neither have delivered much into box. And with Rudi out maybe time to go 442.

They actually type faster than Villa fans, on account of the extra finger, but it's all gibberish and eventually, all the saliva knackers up the keyboard.

Re: Bristol City: match thread
Gonna be interesting to see what RDM does without Gestede in the side. Might be a blessing in disguise because he might look at playing Ayew more upfront and perhaps change the system to 433 instead? Or, if he's determined to play 442 hopefully Green plays wide right instead of Bacuna.

I never thought I'd say it but we'll miss Gestede. Him and McCormack had been showing signs of developing an understanding, and the alternative didn't look good last weekend.
You never know, he might be vastly improved this week, with a bit of game time under his belt...that's if RDM risks him.
I'm hopeful of another clean sheet as we've looked solid recently, although our defence will have their hands full with Kodjia & Abraham.
Maybe luck will be on our side at the other end this time.
Sod it, I'm going for 2-1 Villa. McCormack & Grealish.

Well I'm not a Bristol City fan but I used to work at their ground (as well as Bristol Rovers) as security. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how this game plays out. Really enjoyed watching Villa beat Bristol Rovers and hope we can do the same to another wannabe team from my home town.
