Anybody seen Delia ? Where are ya ? Lets be havin ya!!!
I think we've put the nail in the coffin for Norwich... 5 game losing streak, worst defense in the league, and Mbokani might be the worst center forward in the Premier League right now.
Unfortunately, Sunderland and Swansea both picked up a point, while Newcastle won. We're only 3 wins behind the pack and we have an extremely tough run to close the season out. That said, we look like we haven't given up yet.

Well that was weird. I believe they call that a "win", in football parlance. And what made it seem one-blotter-too-many trippy was the following:
Gabby scored.
They had Jar Jar Binks playing number 9
That really gruesome shot of Cooking Sherry Smith viewed through the streaming rain.
That equally gruesome shot of a bunch of turnip-fucking products of incest in the crowd, looking like sodden, bedraggled zombies.
We scored twice and didn't concede, despite defending like a pub team at times. We were very, very lucky they were so profligate.
We actually could and should have scored more.
The less trippy part was even in an hallucination, Bacuna is a maddeningly dumb player.
Anyway, fuck you Downs Balls and Snide Cnut Smith. We may not get out of it but you sure as shit won't. Back to where you belong. We are getting some topspin and maybe picking up some luck so we'll push on and finish strong. You are in freefall and are as fucked as the rest of the country thinks we are.

Lescott is our top scorer in 2016.
Our future looks grim whether we stay in the PL or end up in the Championship and it's entirely up to Garde and a few players in the team to stick up two fingers to the board and owner and do their best. Stupid as it sounds I do believe they have the fight in them (even if some of them are a bit shit), and I think us lot stand behind them. The very least they can give us is everything they've got. What worries me is that if we're relegated guns blazing or stay up, Garde will go and so will the best players. We've been waiting for years for a decent core to the team (and I don't mean Vlaar with his constant injuries, Benteke who said from the beginning he saw Villa as a stepping stone and whoever that midfielder is that Guardiola is about to sack) and there's every chance that anyone showing an ounce of skill will be sold. Garde could well turn out to be the best manager we've had in years, and he's going to be the first in years not given a massive pay off but leaving due to the board's negligence.
What a great result, Liverpool look shit right now, let's hope it carries on.

We need to stick with the same team now, bring back Ayew with a few other options once players are back from injury.

Well, we're now better than Derby AND that shit Sunderland side of 05/06 (could be wrong on the year on that one). Can that be considered success??

Too right about Ayew, but cant stand Bacuna in any way shape or form. Richards appears to be the weak link in that back 4 too, Bunn better then Guselesszan.............. we have a chance, a faint chance. If it all goes our way the next matches then its gonna be very interesting, dunno if heart will hold out if we get within a couple points of 17th though.

It was all ready to go. They'd plied the old puffin with Chateau Collapso since it had waddled into Executive Hospitality - not that it took much plying, she brought her own wine tankard.thegaffer6 wrote:NARLA24 wrote:2-1 Villa and Delia drowns in her fucking soup after being butt fucked by the entire Villa board, spit roasted and served up on a silver platter with Mervs balls stuffed in her mouth.

The board were there in all their Viagra-charged tumescence, wanking like Whipsnade Zoo gibbons and getting fluffed by Stephen Fry.
The Brown Windsor soup was ready for the post-coital lethal waterboarding.
All they had to do was score to fulfil the prophecies. 2-1.
On such little things do mighty moments hinge. They fail to score so Fox and Hollis don't get to do a high-five over her back. Just as well, probably. I don't think even I could fap to that.

HAHAHAHA! Ember's thread-starting mojo continues.
I'm not going to dissect that win too much except to say one thing: Richards...what the fuck? The fastest he moved was when he was substituted. Bacuna (for all that he's slated above) did the job of two men in that game.
I was - WAS - a big fan of Captain Micah but just what the hell is his problem?

came to Villa thinking it was a stepping stone but it has turned out to be a trap door?
not only that, now he has to play at right back, so he can't prove to other clubs how well he can play at CB.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who thought the performance from our "captain" was pathetic. He has been the biggest disappointment of the season, for me.

His tossing of the armband left a bit of a sour taste also, on top of a really pedestrian performance.

I've really been disappointed with Richards and when he moves on he won't be missed, decision making and positioning is schoolboy and to be fair he show's the passion and commitment in bursts then he can go missing in matches. I always wonder if its a sensible transfer to buy players who have a strong connection with other clubs they never seem to be the same.

Re: Match Thread Aston Villa v Norwich City 6th February 15:00
I did wonder why Garde wanted Debuchy, what with Richards and Hutton at RB. That was based though on Richards' performance at RB against Wycombe and the assumption that he must have been good enough for ManC so surely he's still good enough, I mean he's not that old and hasn't lost the use of his legs since then. In the last two League matches he's been a bit rubbish really. I'm not currently Bacuna's biggest fan but I strongly suspect he'd be better than Richards at RB both in defence and going forward, and it's already been established that he's no good in central defence. He's good at attacking the goal from corners, and when playing at CB made some good surges forward but at RB he seems to hit an invisble wall and can't proceed down the right wing.

I'd keep Lescott, move the armband to him and show Richards the door at the first opportunity, to be honest.

Get rid of both. Play Clark and Okore and bring in our academy players as backup with Baker

Three good defenders there. I think that these should form the nucleus of the back four.
