It's close to be a problem for me. This window needs to close. I've got a technical report that a client is waiting for, and I just can't finish the bloody thing. Feels like I'm 50% checking newsnow and the other half either getting coffee or going to the toilet.

Very strange that both Adebayor and Veretout have been supposedly done for at least 18 hours (more in Ade's case) and not a peep from the OS.

I think they want to unveil the three of them all at once. When was the last time we had this many exciting signings in a week? Epic.

Awesome!!! Welcome, Jordan!!!
This is the signing I'm most excited about. He was linked to Arsenal last summer, and Spurs/Liverpool last week, so I'm glad we pulled it off.

Unless it's a weird pronunciation it will be pronounced: Vare-too (where Vare rhymes with 'bare')

We're still none the wiser to who the "mystery man" in yesterdays leaked photos is/was.... The man of mystery isn't captured in the official snaps: http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/Gallery/0,,10265~4901230,00.html
I reckon it was ooooh larry larry

Re: Jordan Veretout.
I'm féliré and I come from Nantes, France. First, sorry for my english, I was sleeping during english lessons (Google traduction is my friend...). I support FC Nantes since I was kid but I started to follow Aston Villa about 10 years ago by dint of Stan Petrov.
About Veretout. He really can become a top player for the team when he will manage to appreciate physical dimension of the Premier League. It probably takes few matches more, but after that, he could show the extent of his whole talent. He's a box-to-box midfielder.
His strengths : Stamina, accurate short and long pass, he can score, he's a playmaker and he's really valuable in defensive work.
His weakness : I think he is a little bit shy and he doesn't appreciate what he can do.
In case of Remi Garde will be the next manager of the club, he could be a real chance for Jordan to acclimate faste because Garde knows BPL and he knows also how Veretout could bring to the team. When he used to manage Lyon, Garde's team was playing in 4-1-2-1-2 and I think this tactic would be good for Villa. Something like that :
Garde is a good manager and he's really inclined to trust in young players, what he does with Fékir or Lacazette (I don't know if you know them but they are top players who play for french selection).
Sorry for my english once more and if I write like a child (I'm 28...).

Re: Jordan Veretout.
Veretout has a touch of class about him and needs game time. Been a huge fan of him all season.
I'd also have them lineup in a diamond. But Sanchez at its base not Westy

Re: Jordan Veretout.
Sanchez is not very good. He seems like if he was scared to run with the ball, when he get it, he stops and he gives the ball to his closer teammate.
He's a good defender but he's not very smart on the pitch. It's crippling for the team...

Re: Jordan Veretout.
You're looking at him in entirely the wrong way. His job isn't to move with the ball, he's a Defensive midfielder. Breaks up play, wins the ball, hands it off simply. Makelele, but not as good.

Re: Jordan Veretout.
Makélélé did good passes to unbalance the other team. Sanchez doesn't take risks in his pass, I mean reasonnable risk.
I think Westwood, Gueye or Veretout could defend as good as Sanchez in being, at the same time more interesting in their passes and offensive choices.
For Sanchez, perhaps he plays like that because of instructions of the coach because I remember he was better when he was playing in France, for Valenciennes or for Columbia team...
