Battle or Bottle?
Sunderland v Aston Villa Sat 14th March 3pm
Now this is a huge match!
How many times have we said this lately? We have to keep the momentum building and in doing so we can pull Sunderland right back into the mire. It will be an old fashioned battle with the opportunity to hit them with pace now and then. They've got a slow back line so if we're at it then three points beckon.
Under Lambert I would be predicting that we'd roll over and bottle it.
Under Sherwood I expect us to be up for it and battle for it.

I think Villa will pull a classic snatch and grab against Sunderland. Our back 4 will get at least 1 player back, I expect CB to be available... and Gil will be the impact sub since Grealish is suspended.
1-0 Villa

I think the Villa have every chance at winning, but I think Sunderland will make the game scrappy and poor which means a boring 0-0

We've even managed to win there under Lambert the last couple of seasons!! Haha I'd like another win but wouldnt be devastated with a draw with us scoring another couple of goals

if we score a couple goals at Sunderland... it will not be a draw. Sunderland hasn't shown the ability to score a couple themselves. I'd be stunned if this game ended 2-2

Sunderland have been very poor, this is the one away fixture where I can see us picking up any points, with April being so difficult ( even the QPR game has been moved ) this is a must win IMO ! 0-2 Villa !

My 100% failure prediction rate has led me to vote for a loss, like I did both times against West Brom. Third time lucky doesn't apply.

I'm off for a week on a sunny beach so I won't be here to help the Villa get the three points.
Don't let me down guys, I want lucky rabbit's feet and lucky underwear on parade for the match on Saturday!

Lets string two decent halves together. If we do that, we'll win. They're very fragile at the moment and weren't up to much at their best.

This really feels like they are there for the taking. I can not remember the last time I felt that like that in a game where it wasn't us that were primed for it!
A few weeks ago I'd have been dreading this but now I feel up for the battle.
As Maz said though - stringing two good halves together would make a hell of a difference.

Too true lets not get excited, softly softly catchy.......... we all know how it goes, so one step at a time. Having said that nothing less than a great result will do!!

We have the confidence to win, but I hope the baggies win doesn't go to there heads. Their defence are no great shakes and the inability to score at home will play to our advantage. Lets do an honest job and play well both halfs and get the victory we so badly need. Come on you villa boy's lets do it for TS.

Let's hope they are well up for this. As others have said, two consistent halves of footy should see us ok. I think we'll win 2-1 UTV

Imagine a win here and against Swansea, 31 points and well on the way to safety. I think it's doable. COME ON VILLA

I just want us to go in every game being positive from the off; let's remove the cloud of negativity from Lambert and let's go for games!

Palace doing us a favour against QPR.
The goal difference is now swinging in our favour. Go out to win, put daylight between us and them below!!!

Not about the Villa but QPR's goal today was an absolute fucking woldie. Seriously, brilliant strike.
