I remember it too Chris. Though if I point out I was 5 at the time it probably won't help.
That shirt was my first ever Villa kit. Still have it somewhere.

What makes me laugh looking at that photo is I remember the rage at the time of wearing cycle shorts when playing football, now its that under armour stuff.... if a player was wearing cycle shorts in the game now he'd be laughed at?

Back to 94 the thing i remember so well is we were not allowed to take alcohol on the trains to Wembley from new st - so we all had to leave our cans and bottles outside the station on police orders - the word had spread and the tramps and winos were queuing up and filling their arms or bags with our drinks - was so funny to see and fair play to them .

Correct. That was even better.Eastie wrote:Indeed but not as marvellous as the one 2 years earlier :)
"Big fat Ron's Claret and Blue Army" ringing around Wembley was fantastic.

I have a very hit and miss memory when it comes to Villa, and life in general really. Personal issues mean that I can't remember a lot that went on in and around my life.PDC Lion wrote:Correct. That was even better.Eastie wrote:Indeed but not as marvellous as the one 2 years earlier :)

How long will we have to wait for our next one?
This club has been underachieving ever since those days.

I'd rather go another eighteen years.....
I mean, the Championship is a tough league of evenly matched sides. I could see us getting stuck down there.

What they lacked in athleticism I think they would make up for in skill, intelligence and all round good play/reading of the game.

Kind of remember the day well, I fell asleep in the toilets for about 20 minutes of the first half, I was that pissed!! It never quite meant as much to me as Man Ure in '94 (god, that'll be 20 years on the 27th ) maybe because we'd only won a cup 2 years before and maybe I thought it would become a regular occurrence from then on!!!
Little did I know it would be 18 years and counting
