Will it kick off at Villa Park?
Aston Villa v Liverpool
I thought I'd just get this out of the way before I lose the will to live!
I thought we'd whup Leicester so don't listen to me when it comes to predictions. Can the same bunch of disinterested players be transformed into Saturday's match winners?
Can a clueless and demoralised manager kick enough arse to make a difference?
What will we be saying on here at 5pm on Saturday? I've got a fair idea, but as I said earlier don't listen to me, I don't understand Villa any more.

Our manager just refuses to try different things, yeah he changes players but he plays the same naff formation's that don't work get bacuna and n'zogbia on the wings get cole in the mix with Benteke drop Gabby and Cleverley as they are both w*nk just make it work Lambert 4 central midfielders against one of the poorest teams in the league!

I'll go for an angry Villa Park and a loss. A goal would be nice.

Some sort of walk out or arrive late would be a good idea.

Re: Aston Villa v Liverpool
I'm kicking myself. Two of my sons have birthdays this week and they want to go to the Liverpool match followed by a night out on the town. That means I've got to buy six tickets for the match at a time when I've promised myself that I wouldn't go to Villa Park again under this regime.
I suppose I could buy five tickets and stay away personally, but that would spoil my sons birthday celebrations. What to do?

So it's a win win.... although it would be nice to make my voice heard against Lambert.

Personally I'd say it's an acceptable exception to your rule on this occasion bud.villabromsgrove wrote:I'm kicking myself. Just drink heavily before the match like I do. Makes it slightly more bearable

Re: Aston Villa v Liverpool
I'm going to the match on Saturday. Ive had a word with myself over the last 24 hours and decided that my negative feelings have to be put aside.
Regardless of our feelings about Paul Lambert's inability to get more out of our players, I'll take the change of style to be an indication that AVFC is now trying to put right the malaise of the last couple of seasons. It is very definitely still a work in progress and we need more technical players to take it forward, but it's a small step in the right direction.
So I've bought six tickets for the Liverpool match and we'll get behind the team. In return they need to give us 100%. I don't expect to win, but I want to see passion and desire out there on our hallowed turf.

Re: Aston Villa v Liverpool
All logic says a Liverpool win but they are rubbish at the moment (not as bad as us obviously) and Lambert always manages to pull a rabbit out of the hat at the last chance saloon, so I will go for a draw!
Obviously a 0-0 draw!

The good thing is that I will be flying home to Thailand, so I won't have to watch.

Re: Aston Villa v Liverpool
Just like when all the e-mails flew into Fox about the lack of passing and then suddenly we start passing it for fun I expect this week all the e-mails went in about the 433 being useless and so Fox will tell Lambert to change and all the players will love the change and we'll go out on the front foot from the first whistle and play them off the pitch.

CLattenburg is the ref on Saturday apparently. So we're royally fucked. That preening, self-important, perma-tanned twat is only interested in seeing himself on TV.
I expect a penalty, a red card, and a host of shite decisions

Red cards are standard anyway, I'll just be amazed if we finish with 11
(men that is, I'm sure we'll finish with league goals still on 11! :x )

Re: Aston Villa v Liverpool
Hi Villa Dan,
I look a the programme on the match day to see who the ref is and know just by looking at the programme whither we are royally fcuk or not.
I believe that Clannerberg will issue red cards, as Delph comes out of the changing room issue him with a yellow, award a penalty to the Pool, and as about we are about to score bring back the play for a probable foul. You know normal stuff at Villa park. Either
Could be worse could have been Kevin Friend or Fat bloke Dowd
way we are Fcuked.

Re: Aston Villa v Liverpool
I have nothing to do on Saturday (I assume it's on Saturday!) so will take the godson out for the day or something. Anything!
Who is with Okore in the middle? Is Senderos back or is Baker fit again? No Vlaar and no Clark isn't ideal but at least Clark is back for the next loss. I mean draw. I mean match. Which I think is our absolute thrashing by Bournemouth.
Are those of you going joining in with the eight minute protest?

Baker was on the bench on Saturday so therefore by default I assume he will play.
Not going so will not join in but hopefully my mates will join in that are going?

Re: Aston Villa v Liverpool
At any other time, this would be quite a good time to play Plop. They're hardly tearing up any trees at the moment and are clearly bearable. But they can score the odd goal, often from the penalty spot and just one will do - as Leicester discovered on Saturday.
I would love a win but given that is extremely unlikely let it be a real good thrashing that brings out a loud and sustained protest against Lambert.
