Match thread: Manchester City v Villa Saturday 26.10.2019
For me this game is a free hit, everyone and his wife is expecting us to get beat, so lets go for it and see what happens,IMO if we dilly dally then they will pick us off lets take the game to em keep things tight and definitely DON'T give the ball away as easily as we have done. Norwich got stuck in and caught them off guard and got the result, its up to us, I think we have enough to get a draw but I wont say no if a win comes our way, UTV

As long as we don't go the way of Southampton last night....
Would love to see us take the fight to them, no point setting up to be nervous. Maybe we can get something through and spring a surprise or two. Surely the expectation going into this game is that they will eat us for lunch and that's got to take some pressure off? If all guns blazing sees us fall behind, it's hardly time for panic mode.

Good performance overall. Problem is that Man City create so many half-chances with their possession and territorial dominance alone even if the defence is solid the ball can end up in the back of the net.
Their first goal was a sweet route 1 move. A great flick on by Jesus into the path of Sterling. Could Mings have got the header first? Perhaps not. It's just world class play by the two forwards.
Second goal was a typically awkward De Bruyne cross. Seen those go in before. Perhaps a bit unlucky with the VAR decision. Did Silva get a touch? If so then it was offside. Man City got the decision even though the teammates celebrated as if Silva got the goal.
Third goal was just pressure telling with the shot going through a load of bodies.
I liked the set up of the team and thought Nakamba, Luiz and McGinn played well together. Trezeguet is improving still. Should have had a penalty. Unlucky not to get a goal at the end when we hit the post after Ederson made a great save.

I agree with comments from the game I hate VAR , it's not set up correctly, two mistakes yesterday, we will move on, any news on Grealish? More hard games coming up.

We didn't do too badly first half, once again VAR wasn't kind to us, but all the good work was undone after 22 seconds of the second half, from then on it was a struggle VAR once again let us down too, we move on to Wednesday, UTV.
