See a lot of Villa fans speculating on twitter that Barnsley are waiting to sign Henry James before they let Hourihane go. But if it's 99% done, and he's had his medical, then it's gone way beyond that, they're going to lose him whether they get a replacement or not, to us or someone else. The 'hold up', if you can call it that, is probably some small technical detail, involving agent fees.

If we do get Hourihane then surely there couldn't be any bigger sign of intent to Mr.50%.

Sorry, Jack will really have to earn his way to a starting position now, really got to up his game and work rate as I've not seen enough from him to warrant a place in front of what's coming in...........especially if we do happen to bag another striker.

The big problem for Grealish has been lack of options for competition for places. I love the idea that Grealish is going to have to work his socks all the way off to get in this team.
