The LESS THEN MIGHTY Villa vs BORO match thread
I decided to start this thread because thus far I haven't won a single one and if we don't win tomorrow then surely that's the end for potato head? Or will the board bottle it for the millionth time as that useless plank makes another load of excuses?
Anyway, having watched highlights of the Bolton vs Boro game the other day, Bolton really could have had two or three goals and Boro's goals came from two moments of quality from our friend Adama, and the third came from a goalkeeping error via a long, hopeful shot from outside the box. Adama will be a threat but really I see nothing to write home about where Boro are concerned tbh.
As for Villa...expect to see changes galore from our desperate manager.
Green, Onomah and Davis are said to be out. Whilst Bree, Whelan and Elmo didn't have great games either. So this is what I suspect we'll see tomorrow.
....................Johnstone.......................
...De Laet....Chester....Terry....Taylor.......
.................Lansbury..Jedinak...........
.......................Hourihane.......................
...............Snodgrass.........Thor........
...........................Hogan.........................
And then he'll stick Adomah and Kodjia on the bench too I think. Whatever the case though this SHOULD have enough quality to beat Boro. But Bruce has magical powers of sucking the life out of most of the quality we have so I wouldn't be surprised if it's another dull draw and the excuse will be "they are one of the top sides in the division"..."we're five unbeaten now too"...and Wyness will eat it up like he apparently eats everything else.

1-2 Boro, followed by "we looked tired", "Quite frankly I wouldn't pay to watch that" also, "I'd have booed myself" and finishing off with "We have to roll our sleeves up and be counted".
Whilst Bruce is asking for players to be counted, most of the fans will feel like going down the pub and getting cunted......

Luckily the teams below should lose their games so we won't drop into the relegation zone tomorrow night

Really can't be bothered, need a few beers BEFORE the game to actually watch the rubbish, anyway for what it is worth here is Bruce's team (not mine):
....................Johnstone.......................
...De Laet....Chester....Terry....Taylor.....
.Elmo.....Hourihane...Jedinak....Thor.......
.....................Snodgrass......................
........................Hogan........................
Oh and we will lose 1 - 3 but at least we shall see some goals!

Bham Fail saying it's likely Sam Johnstone will be the only player under 25 in the starting line up as Hutton and Agbonlahor are back in contention.

I have to be honest I'm not even looking forward to the game. It's not because we are shite, we've been for years, but it's because the football is so fucking boring. Wish we had a manager that actually managed to string a single attack together.

Until we play 2 up front there's no point. Davis was brilliant on Saturday ... bringing it down when outnumbered and then keeping it until one of the lazy 5 behind bothered getting anywhere near him to lay it off to!
The first player to make a run for him was JT 40 minutes in! Give him a partner and at the very least the two of them might be able to make some magic happen between themselves.

Bah, Kodjia's back, Bruce is going to build the team round him (one goalie, nine defenders and one Kodjia on the end of every desperate clearance). Sorted.

Re: The LESS THEN MIGHTY Villa vs BORO match thread
There's literally plenty of ways to play good football. You can play 442, 451, 433, diamond, 352 or whatever. But it actually requires some thinking behind it.
It's pretty clear from watching Steve Bruce and Villa that there is fuck all coaching going on. We can't do basic movements. There's very little off ball movement. There's no second or third movement. There's no clear plan ingrained in players when turning up the pace. In fact we can't and seem utterly unable to turn up and dictate the tempo of the game. We also suck at throw ins and set pieces. It begs the question, why the FUCK are we paying Bruce, Calderwood and that small heath wanker millions each year.

The outlook's gloomy whatever happens, win and it prolongs Bruce's stay as will a draw, lose and that's bad because we lose ground, and even then I don't think he'll be sacked.

Just looked at the table and I think we kinda have to win tomorrow or the season is a bit fecked. It's absolutely shocking what a shite job Bruce has done here.

Oh crap. I was hoping for a 4-4-2 with the front six looking like this:
Adomah - Onomah - Hourihane - Green
Davis - Hogan
Which we'd never see, but I like to remain optimistic while constantly having my hopes dashed.

Tbh I'm hoping another draw like Brentford puts the nail in his coffin. But when you hear Bruce and his mates Wyness and Round were at the u23 game yesterday, you kind of wonder what the hell is going on.

I think even if we lose tonight, nothing will happen, as they'll be of the opinion, that once Kodjia and Jedinak are back, Bruce can turn things around, there always seems to be an excuse.

Sorry, we'll get fucking spanked by 2 or 3 goals and already have forgotten about automatic promotion whilst resetting our sights at clawing into 6th place.

Re: The LESS THEN MIGHTY Villa vs BORO match thread
Well, we just have to hope that Xia is the one who pulls the trigger then. Because Wyness, Round, Bruce and Clemance were very chummy at Walsall apparently . It just makes me sick that the "british old boys club" are trying to take Xia for a ride. That's why I'm pushing Cortese's name big time to someone who is close to Xia!!!..I just pray they listen.deadbuzzardalive wrote:
