Wolves splash the cash - by bringing back Stearman who they sold to Fulham last September for £2m on loan. I know their fans see him as a bit of a cult hero but not exactly a statement of intent is it

The Wolves lot were running around telling everyone "we're the fourth richest club in England". But reality thus far is speaking a whole different language. Moxley was dead on..."20m over two years" is Fosun's budget. Then I imagine they'll be hoping to sneak up and get the TV money.

We've spent well over 50m with Xia here in the bloody championship. Spending more than most teams in a league above us and the man has ambitions of buying over clubs so they can be our feeder clubs. What happens in the years to come remains to be seen. But this is remarkable and one can only imagine what Xia would do if/when we get promotion. I truly believe we've hit the jackpot here lads. And it's gonna be one hell of a ride .

P.S.. yes Randy did have these kind of spending sprees but if you really look back most of the sprees happened after selling a huge asset like Benteke, Milner, Downing, Young etc. We've brought in money this summer granted, but our net spend by the time the window is closed could very well be in the top eight in the entire country. The championship has never seen anything like this before and I doubt it will ever see it again.

Like I said last week, the last time I saw a club buy up the best players from clubs around/above it like this was when Man City started their spending spree a few years back.

We're tearing up the league in terms of attendance, net spend and PR. If it doesn't happen on the pitch as well then there's no way Tony will stand for it.

Another Mendes player, Monaco signed him for 15m Euros 12 months ago and he's failed to live up to expectations so I think this is Mendes trying to recycle him. Good signing but I'm still unsure of how Mendes' influence over all this is going to benefit Wolves longterm

The Ivan Cavaleiro signing goes hand in hand in what a Benfica fan said below about the Mendes circus. Don't know how he'll do in the championship but when you look at his record the most success he's had has been with Benfica-B. He's only cost seven million aswell so that means Wolves's total spend this window is around 14/15m which is less than what Derby spent last season (20m).

IMO I feel they made a real mistake sacking Kenny Jacket.

The question is who is gonna want to work under the "Mendes philosophy" of not being able to pick your own players? There's plenty of decent foreign managers out there right now So I see them taking another gamble tbh. No doubt they would have gone for Bruce if we didn't blink first.
