Re: Aston Villa v Watford Saturday 28th November 2015
I am just hoping and praying that Westwood, Grealish and Richardson are pictured sitting in the stands for this one.
For me Veretout needs to improve but this will only happen if he plays every week so Gardner on the bench for me.
I like the sound of Ayew and Traore up front as the pace will scare Watford to death. Gestede on the bench Kozak in the stands (Libor has not exactly been pulling up trees in the reserves).
The Zog at LB he has played there before and anyone with a left foot has to be better than KR.
That horrible Knuckle dragger deeney can't be allowed to score!
I want a win but expect a draw.

It's bound to happen, isn't it?

To be honest I would prefer to put a Taylors dummy at left back rather that Richards

Ohh yes we should mark Troy Dwebbie in more ways than one, lets set Hutton on him.

I don't think we can afford Richardson at LB again. He will be targetted mercilessly if Watford have watched any of our games. I'd put Crespo, Illori or even N'Zogbia or Kinsella in there, because we need something different. Hopefully our manager agrees.

Re: Aston Villa v Watford Saturday 28th November 2015
I don't think crosses into the box are that relevant to our side at this moment as we don't have anyone that really makes runs into the box. We've no particular physicality capable of attacking crosses, maybe Richards from corners but apart from that nothing. You could play Gestede but then you have to lose either Gil or Ayew, or a body from midfield. Losing Amavi is a bigger blow than some might realise, he was seemingly the only player capable of delivering a decent cross into the box. I think we have to be as strong as we can in midfield and defence, and put our hopes into the likes of Gil, Ayew, or even maybe Traore to produce that little bit of something special that can snatch a game. We don't have many goals in us and so not conceding has to be the target first and foremost.

Guzan
Hutton Richards Okore Clark
Adama Sanchez Veretout Gil
Kozak/Gestede Ayew
Hutton Richards Okore Clark
Adama Sanchez Veretout Gil
Kozak/Gestede Ayew
Get some width, offer protection to the full backs and they can also support going forward without panicking about defending. Clark is less likely to attack so Gil tracking back is less essential and two up front so we aren't isolated every single time we clear it

I don't care how they do it, but anything other than a solid win today is unacceptable.

Stating the obvious but we have to get some points otherwise we are doomed and we have to start NOW!
Team selection will be interesting, hopes that Remi goes for something like this, very similar to Man City:
...................................Guzan...................................
Hutton..............Richards..............Clark............Richardson
.................................Sanchez.................................
......Gil...........Veretout...............Gueye............Sinclair...
.................................Ayew...................................
Possibly Gabby (he owes us big time) in place of Ayew and Ayew in place of Sinclair is another possibility.
So me and Remi are on the same page again, so lets see what happens?

These players just don't have it in them to make a come back once they've gone behind in my humble. Question is how many will they score now

I would bring back cissokho from his loan if I was in charge. Amazing how villas players stock rise the longer they're away from the club!

Top quality header - we can win this game with our attacking it really is a world apart from recent performances - problem is when they attack we look frail

What a header from Richards!!! If we come out swinging in the 2nd half, we might win this one! Come on, Villa!!!
