Are You Ready?

We've never really been out of trouble, but it's been a shocking weekend for us. Still, it still in our hands and if we beat QPR we'll be O.K. If we lose, it will be a kick in the queensburys as far as confidence goes. Tough to come back from.

We should be beating QPR at home. And we will. West Brom were pathetic and I don't think they've become a good side based on one result. We'll see what happens.

My experience in life is that it's uncertainty that is the most difficult to deal with, that's why this season has been so difficult to handle.

I was fairly certain we were doomed while Lambert remained in position but following the wins against Boggies and S'land I really began to believe we would survive. Poor performances against Swansea, Man U and dreadful defending last night now make me severely doubt that we will.

I'm getting to the point when I dearly wish it was all over, either way. I know people disagree, and i understand why but if we have to go down, I think I'm going to be relieved that at last we have some certainty. I will be bloody angry with Messrs Lerner, Lambert and Fox but at least I will know whether I will be visiting Bolton or a Everton next season.

There's a chance that Fox and his team will surprise us this summer if we stay up. That's why I can't contemplate relegation, somehow we have to survive.

I've still got faith we'll stay up. Why? Why bloody not. Sheer stubborn willpower. QPR, Leicester, Burnley, even Sunderland - their fans seem willing and even expecting relegation. I refuse to.

When QPR scored my mother, who also has a season ticket, started getting upset saying "that's it, we're going down" I elbowed her and told her "shut up, keep the faith" and Benteke popped up. Our destiny is in our hands and the Holte End can drag this team over the line if we all pull together.

Last nights performance was full of guts as well as passages of good play. If we can cut out the wobbly moments we could be okay.

I can only see Sunderland getting points against Leicester, and possibly Stoke or Everton (but not both), Hull are in trouble and could potentially pick up nothing until the end of the season, Burnley will get results from Leicester, Hull and Stoke, and probably a point against us, QPR are down IMO and so are Leicester.

As for us, we'll get 3 points from Everton or West Ham. and stagger over the line.

I back us to get something against Man City.

I've been saying this for a week or two now. They are really capable of being crap. If we can defend properly, I think we have a good chance there.

That said, 6 points against West Ham and Everton would do marvellously.

The only thing we are gonna get from the City game is our annual league spanking at the Etihad, if we can't defend against Zamora and Austin etc then what are we gonna do against Aguero, Silva, Dzeko, etc... Reality check time.

I agree Leafs, i can't see anything other than a 0-3 to 0-5 defeat at the Etihad, we always get two or three dodgy decisions against us up there too which most definitely does not help considering you already have enough on your plate trying to deal with some of the Worlds best players.

I am aware that it is unlikely, however it's not like we haven't beaten them in recent years, it's not like they haven't been astonishingly shit at times this season, and it's not like we've never had crap results against teams around us but beaten teams at the top end of the season in recent years.

I'm perfectly aware that we'll probably get beat, but we are capable of hurting them, and if we do, then it's down to us to defend properly. It just depends what Aston Villa side turn up. I think that's a fairly reality-based analysis.

Our win there during Lambert's time was the League Cup wasn't it? Could do with that kind of performance again - from us and them! I think that's the difference with the top few sides, it's not just about you playing well enough, it's often also about them playing badly enough.

I fucking want a win at Wembley. I know it's a distraction but fuck me the confidence will do everyone wonders. We will get at least 4 more points this season, we will stay up, and the FA Cup is up for grabs!!!
