Aston Villa v Bournemouth .... FA Cup 4th round .... played 24/25th January.

The big teams rest players, the lower league teams play their strongest team.

It seems that players who play every match play better as a team than big name players who only play in the cups. It may be that it's not how good you are, it's how much competitive football you play. Perhaps that's why N'Zogbia, Bent etc. fail at Villa?

I've just looked at the Bournemouth team and player by player there isn't one who you'd rush out to buy in order to improve our team!

If we lose today, then we will have lost to a less talented team, because the majority of our players are better than their opposite numbers.

Bournemouth will have confidence and team spirit going for them, because that's what Eddie Howe has instilled in them. What will Villa bring to the game?

I think we'll win because Bournemouth concede goals, on the basis that they'll outscore you (a bit like Norwich under Lambert). The reason for my optimistic forecast is purely based on the presumption that we've got to convert our missed chances sometime, and it could be today against a team that will come at us.

I really cannot wait for this game to be over. Not looking forward to it at all.

I'm quite happy with that line up! Bacuna and Gil out wide. Clev and Sanchez are a tidy midfield.

Delph doesn't need resting as he's hardly played recently, so unless he's picked up a knock that we haven't heard about it could be that he's played his last game for Villa!

Strange that burkey is on the bench but not Robinson. Maybe Robinson's on his way to another loan.
