Walsall v Aston Villa Sat 25th July 3.00pm Bescot
We have our annual trip to the Bescot today, so it's another chance to have a look at our lads as we prepare for this season's kick off in just two weeks time. As I always say "let's hope there are no injuries". That little mantra didn't work against Swindon with Gardner and Gil both picking up injuries.
How do you think we're shaping up guys?
Up the Villa!

I am sorry to say that I don't think that Gardner has a future at the club, he is far too injury prone!

This injury was about a really reckless challenge, and has very little to do with being injury prone.achilles wrote:I am sorry to say that I don't think that Gardner has a future at the club, he is far too injury prone!

Wow. I paid 6 quid at AVTV now, and they took my money, I can see the transaction at my online bank, but according to AVTV and AVFC I haven't got that subscription. They basically took my money, but didn't give my access to the match.

To be fair after I emailed them, they help me out and gave me access within 30 minutes after sending the mail.
Some chap called Tom was really helpful.

What do you guys feel about Sinclair? He hasn't really ever impressed me

Maybe you guys can clear something up for me. I was watching our defending at set pieces today, and it seemed to be zonal marking. Zonal is something very normal in Norway, but I thought English clubs always used man marking? Anyone know what we usually do?
Secondly the Sellars bloke seems excellent. I'd start him over Sinclair any day of the week.

Robinson and Bacuna for me today. I think the back four have been chosen now, with Guzan in goal. The rest of the positions are up for grabs, although with Grealish on the left I wonder if we'll see a 4-3-3 with Robinson ahead of Bacuna on the right?

Nice to see Okore watching the game with the fans today:

The banner by Villa fans for the three Walsall fans who were killed in the attack in Tunisia was top class as well, well done to everyone who made it happen.

I only got to see the second half but I was thinking the same. There were several times when he could have played in a teammate with a quick ball that he totally missed and there was no end product from him today. He needs to sharpen up his act big time.
