I think it was Thomas Edison who said he didn't fail to make his lightbulb, he just found hundreds of ways that didn't work.

Well Lambert has found one way that doesn't work, the problem is he hasn't moved on from there and we're stuck with it!

20 minute assessment. Always look like conceding but there are signs, only signs of some promise going forward with N'Zogbia. Just not enough of it and not enough possession to attack regularly

Zoggy should've been playing all season. He can be inconsistent but get him playing and happy and he'll create/score goals.

Another awful performance... Could have been 5-0 or 6-0 with all the chances Spam have had. If we go 1-0 down, we don't look like we can claw one back, let alone come back and win it... Depressing. This team is complete shit. Why is Cleverley on the pitch? I think he had maybe 2 touches the entire 1st half.

Guzan has kept us in it along with Baker and Vlaar. We started to look dangerous towards the end of the first half. Now we've got to keep them out for another 45 minutes, and snatch something on the break.

Reasonably solid at the back, little or nothing cooking up front. Hammers haven't applied as much pressure as I expected but I imagine there will be more fire from them after the break.

Cissokho is too lumbering and takes too many touches, every time. He doesn't look like he's got any confidence in being able to whip a ball across so goes for directionless hoof clearances or short passes into danger. On the whole, we're giving the ball away far too much and only really getting away with it as a result of West Ham not having their teeth in yet.

Never tried to win that game with a change in tactics or personnel and that is embarrassing. Agbonlahor offered very little all game and should have been replaced. And please change the system! I'd even take 352 over this nonsense

Comedy of errors, especially for West Ham.

Is there a point at which Lambert decides N'Zog isn't actually going to become the player everyone thinks he can be and lets Grealish play?

Cue Lambert saying how we matched them all game and had loads of 'great chances'. Sorry, not good enough. Scraping a barely deserved 0-0 at west ham doesn't constitute progress for me knowing that lambert will have sent his team out precisely for that scoreline, that we only achieved due to a last minute blinder from Guzan. Fucking pathetic, can't wait to hear him laud this result to the heavens. Wanker.

Based on my expectations and the current forms of both teams I am very pleased with a clean sheet and point away from home.

BUT something has to change soon. It was a clueless tactical performance from Lambert again and bringing on Clarke showed he's too scared to go after the win.

We battled today and got a point against a better team. West Ham were sloppy at times, but it was a brilliant display from Guzan, and a gutsy battling performance by Baker that gained us a point.

I'm pleased that we've finally got a point, but I'm not convinced that we've improved our football. We showed more guts this time though.

What I am convinced about is that this point will keep Lambert in a job even if we roll over again for the next few games.

The consensus of reviews that I've read so far indicate another poor display by a poor team. I think that even if the players showed yet again that they're not good enough, they deserve a small pat on the back for the effort they put in. We rode our luck and got a point, while at the same time once again demonstrating just how poor the coaching is at Bodymoor Heath.

We are shit, we have a shit manager and a shit owner. The stadium is slowly emptying but our board ignore this.

They bring a CEO to generate more revenue, the club would have more revenue if the manager was half decent and we were in the top 8 where we should be as a club.  If you cant keep the current fan base happy then you are fighting a lost cause

Nobody has a right to stay in this league and we are getting relegated this season especially with this clown and his bearded sidekick running the pantomime that was formerley one of the greatest clubs in England.

Why cant Randy, Fox and Lambert just fuck off

Well i think it was a case of we finally had a bit of overdue luck at the back, were our usual pathetic selves at putting away any half chances and basically depended on a couple of hairy ref decisions and wonder save to not lose again.. Can only hope it restores a smidgin of confidence and we can nick another point or two from the next two games then we get Senderos & Benteke back and pick up enough to stay in a reasonably safe position by the time Delph comes back and we strengthen again in Jan :x ..That somehow looks like best case scenario however.

Why should we be in the top 8, we haven't looked like that sort of team for over 5 years minimum, we have no divine right to in the top half of the league, and under our current owner and manager i don't expect us to be any time soon.

Gabby has to be sold, he just isn't good enough and Nzogbia and his total lack of players around him are driving me nuts, how he gets in the team i never know, where is the Nzogbia that would take on the full back, i haven't seen him do it once this season, as a team we are so easy to predict, especially with benteke out, we have no one to give the opposition defence something to worry about.

Time to go back to basis's and play 4-4 fucking 2, and have 2 wingers spreading the play and dragging the full backs about, then gabby and weimann may look half decent.
