I think it's a good thing Garde has now said 10 wins is needed. This is probably one of our better chances.

I have little faith left in the team/club it kills me to say.

BUT...we really must be due a win, and Garde (as much as I doubt him so far) is at least making the right noises regarding some of the shit we have been carrying.

I took his comment regarding some players having a negative impact on the squad as a Gabby mauling!
He may of phrased it around players not playing for lengthy spells...but I think on 2 players would have a negative impact (Gabby and N'Zogbia).

I think we may nick it on Saturday....and who knows after that.

We haven't seen this team 'with their tales up', so to speak...so we don't know how good they could be. A win Saturday could well spark another...and another, after all...you know what they say about buses!!

The only reason I think we might get a win is purely down to odds. We HAVE to win sometime don't we?

However, it's going to take the right players in the right positions doing the right things. And we've seen very little of that all season to make me think they can do it for 90 mins.

Paddy Reilly is on holiday so we might employ the right tactics.

Edit: I just saw Spurs fan Mike Dean is referee, so we'll thrash them 3-0, Collins giving away a very lucky penalty.

we always do well against West Ham, I remember Dennis Mortimer making his debut on boxing day against the hammers which we won easily 4-1, i'm going for another resounding Villa.

I'll miss the game tomorrow as we're staying at the outlaws for Christmas, but I'm going for 2-0 win.

Hate to say this, as I'm not a fan of 4-4-2, but we do not have a squad that can compete with better teams with better squads at their own game.............we do however, have all the ingredients to put out an effective 4-4-2, nout else is working so maybe its time to give big Rudi what he needs.........Ayew/Sinclair and Toure from the start with orders to stay wide and get as many crosses in as possible, Gil/Ayew off Rudi and Veretout and Gana in middle, Okore and clark on and rest of defence and keeper don't matter as all are average or worse .

I just think you have to roll the dice now being cautious has not done us any favours and we have been punished, West Ham have struggled to score goals in the last few matches - we need to get our attacking players where they can hurt teams rather than trying to nick a goal as we defensively can't keep clean sheets - press, attack - get after teams!

I think it will be a diamond 442 today. Veretout behind Rudy and Ayew. I like that but it just needs some genuine width.
