Re: Groningen v aston villa
The same team/formations that has failed largely for the last 24 months. And yet he persists with it.
It may only be a friendly but the early signs appear to show the manager has learnt absolutely fuck all from last season, and now he has the Joe Cole excuse to fall back on "hey, I did sign a number 10, its not my fault he got injured".

Re: Groningen v aston villa
Hmmm....any reason as to why we only flew to Holland today?
Lerner trying to save money after wasting it dragging us to America because he is trying his best to get rid?
If we can not afford hotel bills now, then we are really in the shit. Also, the under 21s including Gordon Bennett and Lowton have just lost 4-1 at Swindon.
Only friendlies, but the signs are scarey.

Is it the kit or are a number of our players carrying too much weight? We don't look fit but that doesn't excuse the non league technique (or total lack of it). I don't know where we go from here.

If that game didn't highlight that Lambert has to go then we are fucked if he doesn't get the sack.

Didn't Zoggy say he was fit a few months before the season finished ?

He was fit as much that he could take part in light training, hence why he had no heavy involvement in the first team, those Achilles injuries are nasty.
On todays game, it highlighted just how light our midfield is, a strong defensive midfielder and an attacking midfielder who isn't a 32 year old who keeps getting thigh strains is desperately required.
And please don't give gabby a new contract. I really cant take another season watching him skulk around the pitch, and weimann can fuck off too. And kea. Baker too.
