I like the attacking way that Sherwood has set up Tottenham lately. A simple 442 with fullbacks and wingers working each flank freeing up loads of space for a creative midfielder in the centre. I know we haven't got one of them but when we do that would be a good way to play him!

Always talked of highly, before this season as well. He didn't sign some of the crap players Levy signed, did he? I think he has done ok, in his first post under the circumstances.

I think for us to be successful we need a DOF to come into the club and set us up from top to bottom. We need a philosophy at the club that a manager fits into rather than the club fits into a manager. The latter is a very costly way of running a club and the cost of players nowadays is just too much. This would work to our long term advantage especially if we had a decent scouting system in place and a youth team playing to the same philosophy as the first team any injuries or player departures would not leave massive holes in the team, these hit and miss signings we have done over the years just do not work.

I would also not want Laudrup at the club as much as i respected him as a player as a manager i dont think he has what it takes.

The names are largely from oddschecker and various names I've seen thrown about on other forums as well. I.e. realistic targets. People who are saying they want people like Klopp, are in la la land. He's linked with Arsenal, United, apparently turned down Barca before and has already stated he wants to stay at Dortmund.
Seriously, who would you think we can get better? Just because we may have a $50 billion dollar owner, does not mean we're going to immediately be signing Mourinho, Messi, Ronaldo and Suarez.

Koeman, not for me.. Seems to have only managed in Holland. failed at Valencia. Interesting though. Wouldn't be upset if we got him.
Magath is supposed to be a nut and has fell out with every club he has been at. Wouldn't like him.
Klinsmann, although he has only managed Bayern for a season; I like.

Someone like Bergkamp could be interesting. There may be a few national team managers out of a job after the world cup such as Deschamps. Murat Yakin is very well regarded from Basel. I'd even be alright with Benitez over anyone on that list.
