Weird timing as we enter a new chapter for the club.

Re: RIP Doug Ellis
I know he could seem like an egomaniacal tyrant at the time who owned less than 50% of the club and yet managed to run it for 20 years as a dictator but I truly believe he loved the club!
I will never forget the Abrahamovich incident and thank him for the invention of the bicycle kick so rest in peace Herbert!

Re: RIP Doug Ellis
He did take some stick & he made a big mistake in not honouring our 80-83 squad but he was a Villan.
We never got in the financial mess that we’ve seen over the past few seasons & for the most part always supported his managers.
Under his tenure we had Big Ron’s, Brian Littles & John Gregory’s teams, I think we’d all like to be competing at that level once more.
RIP Deadly,.
