Re: Rotherham United v Villa (Thin red line advance a further 20 paces)
I was feeling quite upbeat then watched Jedinak's video where he stated the Hutton was our fastest player.
Either Jedi has no idea about his teammates which is a worry or Hutton is, indeed, the fastest. Which is a worry.
3rd option of course is that he's on a wind up. That's gotta be it, huh?
Still, my mood is good so I'm going to go for 3-0 Villa.

We really have to win this, don't we?
We are all calling for consistency so therefore I think/hope that Bruce doesn't change the lineup from after Gardner got injured. Obviously if Green is injured Amavi would be the logical replacement.
If the side wins, keep the same side, simple!
Anyway I think we will win (I have too) but Rotherham will make it really tough as they have absolutely nothing to lose as they are virtually relegated.

A win today would move us onto 45 points and I feel 48-50 points would be enough to ensure safety which has to be the first objective, then we can use the rest of the season to get a settled team playing a system that will see us romp this division next season...........well I can only dream.

I'd like us to keep momentum now, but it would also be ace if we could get Grealish settled on the opposite wing of Green. Green would be the much more direct winger and Grealish would balance it out by being what he is. Obviously he has to perform, but I fancy the idea of having a possible firat eleven to get promoted with packed with academy graduates. Green, Grealish, RHM, Baker.

Problem with Grealish is that he slows down our attacks, passes backward or sideways instead of looking for that killer ball, can't head and is soft as shit in the tackle.
So he's either going to have to get better at unlocking defences or offer something defensively. And, unlike Green, I don't see any part of his game improving each week so I'm not sure why he'd warrant a starting spot.

Read today that it's highly likely that James Chester will be the only survivor from the Villa team that played Rotherham at the start of the season.......

I completely agree, but I'd still like to see him rotated for Adomah now and then. Young players develop at different paces and being part of a win now and then will do his confidence good. I also concur about him not being direct and backpassing a lot, but that's not a big deal when Green is so direct on the other side.

Bjarnasson replaces Green...
Good to see Davis back on the bench.

Although I think Bjarnasson will get better and become a good player for us, I think I would have started Grealish instead of him today. That said on Tuesday I predicted that Hourihane would score, and today I'm taking a wild guess that one of Lansbury or Bjarnasson will get their first goal.

Adomah just missed yet another chance. Sounds like it's going to be one of those days.
