Season ticket renewals
I presume everyone else had their season ticket renewal email today.?
Prices frozen - WOW.
Those who have season tickets will you be renewing ?
I said to Mrs bold finger ' I ain't getting one next year - bollocks to em" she said " you've been saying that for the last 5 years you mess but you still will, villa may piss you off but they are your club and you are villa through and through".
She is right of course.
Having been a season ticket holder for 16 consecutive years I ain't going to stop now.
Those who do manage to get to matches where do you sit ?
I am Holte end upper.

Re: Season ticket renewals
K4 holte upper I think it's usually row 25/26 106 ish but it changes depending when I buy. I always try and buy in the area where everyone stands as I despise sitting. My lad and his Mrs plus his best mate are STH and have seats near to where I've said so that's also why I buy there. My lad and his Mrs are going to Vietnam for a year in May so that's 2 less in the Holte and given his best mate is a STH who lives in Leeds, he may also not bother for next season. So although not for reasons of Villa shiteness it's still 3 ST sales less for next year.

Fair play mate.
Regarding standing - people have been saying that stewards have not been as hostile as normal to people who do stand. I hope they bring in a safe standing area.
They actually have a stand for singing at MonkeyWorld - the away end. Lol.

Re: Season ticket renewals
Right then it's Villa Dan''s periscope channel every other Saturday next season folks.
I know it's easy to say if if if but if I lived Bristol or.above I'd buy a ST but it's a big ask from south Devon esp. With 2 kids under 3. I think ten home games per season and a couple away is the best I can do. I do seriously love having a load of beers in the Aston Tavern then sneaking in my hip flask full of whisky then standing all game singing like a twat knowing full well I'll have no voice on Monday at work, pile into the Aston social for more beers after the game then crash at my brothers in Rubery before driving home Sunday. I call the M5 Hangover Highway cos I swear I've never driven home feeling well. To loads of brummies a trip to the villa is taken for granted but for me it's a load of cost and effort but I do it willingly because it keeps me honest and reminds me that no matter what and no matter where, I'm still that kid from Chelmsley Wood, even if I do sound like a farmer now haha.

Re: Season ticket renewals
Lately I feel like being at the games is more due to a sense of obligation than desire. I'd love to have your approach DK! As for sounding like a farmer, that's much better than sounding like you're from Chembo (I'm a Grimshaw survivor).
Oh, and what the fuck is periscope???

Re: Season ticket renewals
Periscope is the last resort when you are bereft of any way of watching or listening to villa in the championship when not televised. It's literally some fucker live streaming the match on their phone with all the shaky shit you'd expect. My Bro went to 6th form at Grimshaw I reckon 88 to 90.
One bonus is my lad leaves for Vietnam 3 days before the Brighton last game so I'll deffo be there for last home game fancy dress as I'll nick his ticket! Apparently it's 2 Tone which is easy for me as a Mod. They call it fancy dress I call it "going out" haha.

Radio WM with some commentator and Tony Morley is re-broadcast via periscope too. If I can stay awake/not want to kill myself, it's how I listen to games. Someone is usually kind enough to throw a link up.

Re: Season ticket renewals
I have lost all interest, I left a game early (v Ipswich) for the first time in my life, I have also moved north for work, no ST for me next time
As Dan said, my desire has also deserted

Is it a Q&A with MOMS, H&V and Howard Hodgson?
They've all got their finger on the pulse and don't want freebies.

Re: Season ticket renewals
Hasn't there been a blog on MOMS that hodgson has come out in support of criticising Xia''s naivety in splurging cash, causing Xia to respond pretty angrily via Twitter?
I'll have a read of it later today (and stick the rest of this topic on the Tony Xia thread!).
Hodgson strikes me as a bitter wannabee but I do need to do a bit more background reading on this.

Re: Season ticket renewals
Nothing to do with renewals....unless you'd like to rock up next season in a retro top. I thought this sounded like a decent offer:
