Mike Dean
Sorry, I'm not letting this go.
Ignore the fact that he basically wore a spurs jersey tonight and gave them everything.
1) He waved play on after a head injury happened 1 YARD in front of him outside our penalty box. He KNEW it was a head injury, didn't stop the play at all.
2) Celebrated their goal first by raising his arm, then by running like a nutter, then by waving some more, then by fistpumping. Are you fucking kidding me? How on earth is this ok? Are we there now that football is so corrupt people don't even fucking care anymore?
So how exactly can he get reported for investigation? Surely there must be actions to take. Knowing our club we always bend over to referees and the FA, so Villa officially won't have the stones to make an official complaint. BUT I FUCKING WANT ONE.

Sorry that was a bit off topic of me, but I still think any club with self respect would report Dean and demand investigations. If nothing happens revoke Villa Park from anything FA related.

Re: Mike Dean
I'm glad you started this thread as I was raging, too.
What a massive sugarbag he is! I had to rewind and see his reaction to the goal because I just could not believe my eyes. I'm surprised he didn't give Dembele a high-five.
As for Westwood, well I'm not sure how he COULDN'T have seen it and then left him lying on the ground when the rules clearly state the game should be stopped for a head injury. And then when the game WAS stopped, he stood about smiling while the player was clearly in some distress - the poor lad didn't know where the fuck he was!
Aside from being a massive sugarbag, this was also a reflection of how timid our players are. Fuck "RESPECT THE REF", if he's willing to do that then I'm all for our players getting all Wayne Rooney/John Terry on him and giving him an absolute barrage of fucks and asking just what that actual fuck he was thinking.
Lastly, I hope Fox brings this up to the people who manage the referees. You can be pretty fucking certain that there's no way on God's green earth that he'd ever ref a game at Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge again.
So fuck him! Go for his throat and demand action.
And let's see his wife just for a laugh.

Well said, even if I only saw the edited post. Westwood clearly wasn't messing around, the Spurs player should have received at the very least a yellow.

Pathetic from Dean but let's be honest, who was surprised? We're always getting fucked by the refs

Re: Mike Dean
No doubting the ref had a strange game, but i wouldn't want to distract away from the fact we were monumentally shit for most of the game. The way we play is the only thing Garde can influence, referees he certainly cannot. Zero excuse policy is what is required from this point onwards. This team needs a general or two, someone apart from Richards who can be vocal and direct others, someone in the centre of the pitch running and dictating the show. We need to find that player more than anything.

Don't refs have an assessor in the stands? Probably just another ref though? Mike Dean is and always has been one of the most anti-villa refs he must be from the inbred lot? He certainly looks that way.

Re: Mike Dean
Regardless of whether his sister is his mother or if he's a spurs fan or even if he had a monumentally shit game, he should be immediately dropped for allowing the game to go on when a player, just a few yards from him, was clearly in distress from a head injury. There's no way he could tell if it was a simple cut to his face or if he was suffering a full blown brain bleed.
If you saw that in the street and did nothing you'd be up on charges for negligence. He's a massive sugarbag and this incident should not be ignored.

Re: Mike Dean
Please don't get me started on corruption in the game as we'll be here all night!
It's all linked to betting syndicates in my opinion,
ask yourself why Chelsea suddenly can't get a decision this season as Mourihno has spotted and yet every time he mentions it he is fined and banned or whatever but with no explanation of anything.
Ask yourself why Fifa and now Uefa officials are being sued and effectively disbanded
Ask yourself why Fergie time existed
Ask yourself why we and most other clubs hardly ever get a game changing decision such as a penalty or sending off against certain clubs and yet they almost always get those decisions in games.
Explain refereeing perfomances like last nights or in our cup final against Man U a few years back when we were basically shafted by the official after going 1-0 up.
Etc etc ..i could go on as it's a bugbear of mine but i shan't

I tried to email the FA last night to make a formal complaint about Dean, and you can't email the FA! You have to join the England supporter's club FFS - well shove it, I don't want to, but it's an excellent way for those suits-full-of-fuck-all to ensure no-one emails them that they can't trace.......

De Kuip,
As a grass roots level referee I have to send in caution reports via the F.A s web site 'whole game' why don't you try that route?

Hi mate, I tried that but I still have to register and I can't untick all the options so that means I'll have to - by registering - accept that the FA send me updates and info on something - I could choose refereeing but TBH why the fuck should I have to receive anything from that corrupt bunch of stuffed shirts.
Trotters - if thought emailing Brer fox would have even one iota of difference I would do, but do you think anything that any Villa fan does, thinks or cares about even registers so much as an atom being disturbed at our club, cos I don't.
No, if Villa don't even care enough to ask questions, at the end of the day, why should I - I'm passed being pissed off now, and can't be bothered.

Re: Mike Dean
I'm absolutely disgusted with the referees this season. Diego Costa hasn't gotten a suspension for numerous cases of simulation, fighting, or attacking other players in plain view of the referees this season, but Micah Richards gets a suspension an hour before a match because of a nothing incident. Mike Dean's open celebration of Spuds's first goal and blatant disregard of a serious head injury is grounds for suspension in my book.

Re: Mike Dean
An email to the FA is easy enough for them to ignore. Less easy to ignore would be a website with sufficient traffic going through it, I dunno FA-shitlist.co.uk or something, where supporters submit independent analysis (optionally anonymous, of course) of reffing performances. With enough contribution, support and promotion and the right media eyes latching onto it, it becomes a bigger issue for the FA.
Would need a little moderation to avoid libelous content and plain arsewipery but it's an idea.

Re: Mike Dean
VTID has a good point. Stuff like this shouldn't be sent as an email to the FA, that's the club's business.
What needs to be done is that someone with a touch of class writes a "letter" or article to the Telegraph, mail, sun whatever or all of them and hope one of them sticks it in the sports section.
It simply isn't about us losing the match, it's about the general refereeing, and how clubs are clearly treated differently by the referees in the same league.

You could set up an email address solely for the F.A., so you can see if you get anywhere with this, and then leave it alone to fill up with junk or just cancel it.
I wonder if writing to some medical magazines might work, after all Westwood really wasn't messing around, and this is dangerous stuff.
Refereeing to me should be stricter so all this simulation crap is ironed out, with anyone falling over as if by magic or rolling around on the ground being automatically removed by stretcher, no matter how soon they seem to recover. Players who score goals and get jumped on by their teammates who then fall over at the briefest of gusts of wind need to be put in a medical room for the rest of the match, you're either a complete wimp or you're not. Retrospective action would help, for example I saw some highlights of ManU's Champions League match and Ashley Young chose to run into a defender so he could dive over him and try to get a penalty (even though the ball was already on its way out). He should be done for simulation and for a foul on the opposition defender, since he gave him a good kick when he ran into him. You're either a lead footed cheat or a sure footed, nimble one, but if you want to be both, you need punishing. He needs a one-match ban.
If players knew that simulation or flouncing around like a child will lead to either punishment or being removed from the pitch for medical care, there'd be a lot less of it. Then if someone has a genuine injury they can be dealt with straight away.
For now, I'm calling them the Sweet F.A.
