Re: Jordan Ayew
There are plenty of reasons to be frustrated as a Villa fan at the moment, but please don't take those frustrations out on each other.
Keep it friendly .... if you can't keep it cool, then walk away for a while until you can.
Thanks guys.

Re: Jordan Ayew
Pretty sure he´s not Bentekes replacement. More of an inside forward type to play alongside Adebayor?

Re: Jordan Ayew
With it looking likely that Ayew will sign, I'm about to do an about face in my normal attitude to signing older players. Given that we'll be introducing several young players who will have to get used to the Premier, we could do with the experience that Adebayor and Cambiasso would bring to the Villa first eleven. Even if it were only for one season it could make all the difference.

Exactly what I've been thinking. The Adebayor move makes perfect sense to me now.

Re: Jordan Ayew
Well it's clear by his signings that Sherwood is looking at a Arsenal model, both in terms of what we're signing, but also in terms of tactics. Like I've said before, the Ayew signing smacks of Wiltord'esque signing to me. A striker to run channels on either flank of a top 3. To make this work we are gonna need another CM though.
And in this sense the Ade signing will make sense even if I don't rate him much. He is a striker that's good at moving the ball on the deck. Yeah I can see this happening now.
And you can add that Fox is an old Arsenal man, and we just hired a new sports director that's an old Arsenal man. It's all kinda funny.

I'd rather not go nowhere near that money drain, it's no coincidence his last 3 clubs have wanted rid, you get 3/4 months out of him then he gets his slippers on and cant be bothered, especially if he's just signed a contract, surely there must better out there for our limited money.

They've wanted rid but his record is still 1 in 2! Perfect for a loan IMO

Ayew gave up on his signing on fee to push the deal through.

Re: Jordan Ayew
Fair play to Ayew giving up his signing on fee. I bet his bloody agent has received the full amount due.
Its nice to see that a player really want to come to us, and has the morels to say I will forgo my fee. Very unusual in the footballing world. Snake take note.

I'm hoping "Hey Jude" catches on, but we seem to be some of the least creative fans in the league, when it comes to player songs...

Fancy this lad to raise a few eyebrows - my bet is he struggles against the defences of the top 5 but looks like a world beater against the teams below this

I'm going to guess the opposite. He seems to step it up against the top sides but goes missing against the rest of the table, based on his record from last season in France.

I dunno, according to that he scored 5 and assisted 1 against the top 6 in France
