Jordan Ayew
It's a Friday night and I'm feeling positive. To hell with waiting to hear his signed, I'm opening this JA thread on the basis of him saying "we can all work together to make it a great season for a great football club. That'll do for me!
It could all go tits up but the fact that he already considers himself a Villan means he gets my support.

Re: Jordan Ayew
And why not open it, indeed. Assuming they are real quotes from him, rather than some fantasy of somebody pissed and coked up at SSN, then he's here, signing and is glad to be joining.
I'm looking forward to seeing him in our new-look team. I don't share the reservations of many about all the comings and goings. Our old-look team looked like shite so the revolution starts here and I'm glad to see it. It's a largely French Revolution as well and the last time one of them happened it shook up a nation and a continent.
Viva la Villa!

No different to when Tekkers went on strike to force through his move to us.
Clubs can do little to block players moving nowadays

This is the only problem when clubs know you have just sold a player for X amount the price goes up, now we are all in limbo.

Re: Jordan Ayew
Assume the plan will be Ayew/Adebayor (the A Team!) with someone (Gil?) in the hole, when we are in expansive mode. Then three or four at the back depending on the opposition.
Works for me!

Hmmn, that's shocking in all fairness if he had a known price for availability and his club are blatantly upping the ante knowing our situation.
I could see us walking away actually if that's the case.

The deal will proceed, no club wants a player that is unhappy especially if he is in the right (which is unusual in itself).

Hope we stand our ground. The price is the price and he won't go back there

Walk away. They'll come back pretty sharpish as the only offer they'll get for this sulking player now will be a bowl of steam.

I like this quote. " in my head I've already left the club."

Re: Jordan Ayew
The easy solution here is to sign another striker pronto, and then they will do a deal on the original price immediately

Or sign another striker and offer them half our original bid, if they decline then there left with a very unhappy player

I don't know how much Villa have eventually paid for him but when you view that Swansea got his brother who is supposed to be the better player on a free transfer then you have to question just how clued up our scouting system really is, if at all?

Little ridiculous to compare them just because they're brothers. Andre still aged for Marseille whereas Jordan loved last year so obviously signed a new contract.
Like asking why Liverpool got Milner on a free when we paid money for Gueye.

Going to be interesting to see how the football commentators handle the pronounciation of " Ayew to Gueye " without sounding homophobic.

So you are saying that Milner would have come to Villa, now that is really ridiculous!

Did I say that? Is that remotely what my post said?

Quite honestly why don't you just piss off!
I put up a perfectly valid argument which you have decided to ridicule me for, which I find utterly pathetic.. I have absolutely nothing else to say and I am out of here!

Re: Jordan Ayew
It wasn't valid in the slightest.
You're complaining that Swansea signed a different player from a different club for a different fee. The ONLY reason you've mentioned it is because they are related.
So no I won't piss off. Don't be such a fucking girl about it.

Re: Jordan Ayew
There are plenty of reasons to be frustrated as a Villa fan at the moment, but please don't take those frustrations out on each other.
Keep it friendly .... if you can't keep it cool, then walk away for a while until you can.
Thanks guys.
