Another guy from Arsenal, at least he has some idea about drafting contracts.

If it means we win more and produce more of our own players... I'm all for it.

Clearly this means we are about to be bought by Usmanov and he's just get figures in place before it. Right?

Two heads are better than one .... or twice as confusing!

From a very quick browse, he's Head of Business development at Arsenal. Part of his skill set is as a statistician similar to Paddy Reilly.

I've heard worse ideas SLV. possibly still a bit raw, but bags of potential.

So we sign someone else for an upper management position with a business background. While I am all for the right sporting director, it sounds more like an appointment for business reasons not football reasons.

Obviously I appreciate that business acumen is important. However I feel there is a lack of football knowledge throughout the football club (excluding the manager and coaches and so on) - Someone rubbing stamping transfers on a business basis and not a football basis might not be a good thing with the current squad.

I texted my old boss, who is a die hard gooner, about Almstadt. Said he has a good reputation and headed up Arsenal's "moneyball" side of their scouting network. Sounds like Paddy Reilly's role here and is maybe going to help lead and expand that side of the business. The one thing Arsenal does better than anyone is poach talented youth from around the world. Hopefully this guy can help us on that front.

I think this is part of what Collymore was on about in his tweets. Infrastructure!

As has been said, I don't know what it means for the takeover scenario but take it for what is of itself and its a good appointment. I hope.
