Re: Burnley Vs Villa
I've got that sick nervous feeling in my stomach. like you gdav I can see that occasional "Lambert Luck" squeezing a win today. That'll be three points which we desperately need, but it'll also be another excuse to keep the status quo and change nothing. I know I'll find a stream and end up cheering us on like a looney at the slightest sniff of a chance .... but I really don't want to. How confused is that!gdav wrote:I can see us winning because that's Lamberts luck.
To be honest I could put up with a loss just to mount more pressure on him.

Funnily enough I can see us winning today, just because Lambert seems to get out of jail at the last minute everytime!

It's uncanny how it continues to happen. Each time I think he's finally gone too far to survive, he inevitably claws his way out of it. He's like an unflushable turd! You've got to admire his tenacity, even if you hate his football.achilles wrote:villabromsgrove wrote:I've got that sick nervous feeling in my stomach. like you gdav I can see that occasional "Lambert Luck" squeezing a win today. I hope for a scratchy win , any type of win would do, but if we do lose , surely not even Lambert will survive the axe ?

What a horrible situation to be in, I never imagined I'd be hoping for villa to lose.
I will do what ever it takes to get rid of in my opinion the worst villa manager of all time.

Joe Cole ? Looks like the last throw of the dice from Mr Lambert , he probably has instructed him to play as our target man !

Gotta be the 4-3-3 option, eh? With Cole playing just a little deeper (so more like 4-3-1-2).
Either way, hardly inspirational is it? And you just know he'll make pointless changes at 80 mins when Burnley went 2-0 up in the 78th.

He has started and funded out of his own pocket a program to help disabled kids enjoy sports, top bloke.

I wonder if we'll see a red in the second half? Sounds a bit frisky out there with some rather rash challenges and a few Burnley players already on yellows.

Re: Burnley Vs Villa
If it's the ref's first ever Premiership match, then the players are giving him a hard time. Good to see Cole score.
Will Villa fold second half, or will we keep taking it to Burnley?

Do Villa concede in the last 10 mins in every game? Feels like it...

Just enough to keep him in a job. Cue the 'I thought we were excellent' shite in the post match interview.

I'm going to be honest. I think we played a bit of football today and I actually enjoyed watching it. I'm disappointed that we can't see a game out, but at least I didn't have to watch 90 minutes of rubbish today.

First half we played well, shame gabby isnt intelligent enough to play with J.Cole, the 1-2 was very good and then gabby can walk it into the penalty spot, but no same old gabby too much time to think and he fluff's an easy chance.
i guess lambert told them at half time to sit back for the 2nd half and play counter attack as we looked back to our awful self, why not just keep going the way we were 1st half.
tekkers back in next game, gotta play him up top with J.cole as think he can supply the big man, gabby and weimann to be benched, both god awful players and only play in the league as they have come through the ranks.

Cole was a different class today
Hutton was immense IMO And Cleverley upped his game.
Shit result still
