Can we do it ?
West Ham v Aston Villa
Not going to bother with all the cliches.....A must win game, desperately need 3 points, another record broken etc because it is to bloody obvious.
Win, lose or draw ?
I am going for lose, sadly, in a must win game where we desperately need 3 points and if we lose it will be another record broken
Gotta keep your sense of humour if nothing else.

If Ebola makes its way into the East End then we might get a draw. Failing that......

That sounds about right Bill plus there's no chance Sakho will score because he's in my fantasy team and I need him to score.

Brilliant, just hearing on SSN that there's a record to be set for West Ham, if Sakho scores he will be the 1st player to score in his 1st 7 or something like that, translates to = not good for Villa

West ham will be all over us, 4 nil could be more, heads will drop, conferdence has gone in this team, and on the bench, upper management aswell if they had any in the first place.

I was Looking forward to the West Ham game I would have thought that we had a chance. Then reality kicks in 6 losses on the trot no Tekkers Weimann still confident that we can do well. What ever his having I would like the same. The fact is we are just not good enough. After 6 losses and the teams heads have not dropped then something must be very wrong.
Going to a very dark corner covering myself with a blankets and hoping that we can pull a rabbit out of a hat.

We haven't been 'plucky' since Anfield, so that alone would be an improvement!

Re: West Ham v Aston Villa
I saw enough on Sunday to be semi-optimistic ... N'Zogbia and Sanchez were good, add in a Grealish to have 2 wingers playing and then we might as well play Bent as he will only score with 2 wingers so what have we got to lose? (Another game, I know, but that is no longer anything new)
And then it hits me, again, that we have a clueless tactician in the dugout who couldn't see what 25,000 fans see every week if he tried. Still, at least we will see some goals from those in claret and blue :)

Lambert will bring Grealish on at the 70 minute mark when we are 4-0 down to prove that he's not a game-changer.

I am gonna go with 4-0 West Ham..It would be typical Lambert.. one of the games we should be doing better in so we do even worse...That's Lambert all over. Someone wake me up when he's gone as AVFC does not exist as a football team in my eyes whilst he is still there rather just a few message boards where former fans console each other.

I just ran into a Spurs fan at the golf range. Surprisingly not a bad bloke. He was utterly baffled as to why a club like ours had been struggling for so long and why the fans hadn't turned on the manager yet.

Re: West Ham v Aston Villa
lol no one has voted for a Villa win or a draw - thats gotta say something. When the optimists give up on a cheeky win against all odds then you know we're up the creek without a paddle. Someone should e-mail a screen shot of this page to one of the higher ups (no idea who, Tom Fox maybe ?) to show what they have reduced our once great club to. When was the last time you went to Villa Park and thought "This is gonna be a great game - can't wait for kick off" or we signed a player and you were genuinely excited about it (I don't mean "seems like an OK player and we're short in that position" i mean " Yessss ! We're gonna f*ck some people up") ?

This is also what I would like to see against Spam but as you say it's Lambert.mefromhere wrote:I saw enough on Sunday to be semi-optimistic ... I'm not doing what a poster on another forum always does but I think we will win this. Still expecting to lose against Southampton and definitely Burnley.

Re: West Ham v Aston Villa
That poll makes for stunning viewing doesn't it? Even with a shit side against Man Utd I'd still expect to see 30-40% of blindly optimistic votes for a win. Or at least a draw.
But 90+% don't think we can get any kind of result against a West Ham side managed by Sam Allardyce? Fuck my old boots!
