Re: Carlos Sánchez
Interesting fact; I went to school with Clark (actually that's not that interesting.) he wasn't fantastic in the school team so was quite a suprise when he broke into a Villa's first team. Nice bloke though.

It's probably just sorting this 3rd party stuff out mate, if that's the case I'm not really surprised it's taking longer than usual.

My son and his pals met him before Boldmere friendly he is a lovely guy with time for the fans ,he was quality early on and linked with Arsenal .It would help if he had any midfield protection

Yes, looked a great prospect under houllier but hasn't really kicked on from that season - still young though.

He needs better coaching if you ask me, look at how Houllier had him playing when he was sat in front of the back four, he was pretty outstanding, to be honest I have a grudge for him over Kozaks leg, we really needed Kozak too.

Re: Carlos Sánchez
Don't get me wrong, I much prefer him to Baker but he is fairly lightweight and can make unfortunate rash decisions. I can't see him starting much next season unless Okore or Vlaar get injured though. I do think Keane will have a postive influence on him so guess we will have to wait and see.

I just never want to see him at CB again, he is much more suited to a CDM or a box to box midfielder.

I think with good players around him Clark thrives, on his own he makes too many mistakes and can't handle the pressure and as I have said he needs good coaches, hopefully Keane can get the best out of him otherwise he knows where the door is.

He seemed to do well as one under Houllier.

Re: Carlos Sánchez
He only played as a defensive midfielder a couple of times under Houllier. I think he played left back more than midfield.

Re: Carlos Sánchez
Clark and Baker shouldnt even be in charge of half time refreshments never mind playing on the pitch in any capacity in a Villa shirt in the PL.
Championship standard at best, woeful CB duo....
Love for this club to be in a position to move on from both, or at least loan them out...

Just seen on the SSN news ticker that Sanchez is due on Sunday for his medical?? Surely that's a mistake?

Id say an error. Pete Colley did tweet that to tomorrow may be too soon though. Doubt it would be as long as Sunday though.

I think signed tomorrow. Whether or not he plays against Stoke will be about fitness, match fitness and international clearance
