Who do we need to sign?

The latest links are McCarthy and Origi - I have to be honest both uninspiring to me. I would like a Danny Ings type striker someone proven at this level. We lacked being clinical last season in terms of finishing and we need abit more injection of pace especially on the counter.
So who do you want??

i certainly dont see Origi as uninspiring he would do really well for us because he would be playing regularly hes big and direct, just what we need at this stage of development.

And well done mate on a new post, this site has been in the doldrums of late, lets hope we get some more posts and more debate.

Loads of good links to players but nothing firm yet, other than that the back room staff has been improved.

From those linked (however loosely), I'd have Benrahma & Edouard to fill our attacking needs, but we need a strong centre-half also IMO. I like the look of Stanley Nsoki at Nice, a product of the PSG academy, and he's only 20. We could do a lot worse than him or similar. Would probably require selling Engels but it looks as if his days are numbered after falling out with Smith anyway (allegedly).

Beyond that, depending on how much is left in the budget, we could really use a dependable left-back, preferably one who could cover RB also if Dean chooses to let Elmo go. I really like Guilbert but don't really rate Targett as a defender so we could use extra in that department. It's not as high priority as the attacking needs, mind.
