Apparently Elphick's staying now because Samba's picked up an injury.

If he's only going on loan we'd probably be better off keeping him as back-up, seeing as though we've only got three senior centre backs and two of those are well into their thirties.

It's got a feel of Lerner about it, and they even have an American owner don't they?

LOL I see a lot of Villa fans are wetting their pants over Jota seemingly heading for Blues!!..yes let's forget that we've got Hourihane and Grealish who can play the number ten role, and let's forget that Jota actually prefers to play on the right-hand side, the same side Snodgrass, Elmo and Adomah prefer aswell. SMH some people just lack logical thinking.

Folks are also acting like Musa going to Hull is some sort of "game changer"...again how many goals has he scored for Leicester? Some people just like to piss and moan over nothing.

Football is all about having a team not individuals, they might win you the odd game but won't get you promoted!
Totally happy with our squad as it stands at the moment but we still have the rest of today to go, so who knows.

Rednapp has said that Blues will finish in the top 6, now that is funny! lol! Laughing at You lol!

On twitter Villa fans have a meltdown everytime another club signs an half decent player, it's the same when one of our former players happens to score a goal, you get loads of tweets stating how we should never have sold him.

On Jota he's a very good player, but truth be told it's probably better that he join someone like small heath, rather than going somewhere like Fulham or Leeds and helping their promotion chances.

Well Neil Moxley, one of the best journo's as far as Villa exclusive go, is suggesting there will be good news for us today....

Neil Moxley‏

I think there will be ins and outs at Villa today. Probably loans. A couple of issues solved for the good for SB.

Tbh I'd love a left-back and someone like Jefferson Montero to challenge Green on the left-hand side.

It is expecting a lot for Green to play a whole season as he is still young, so cover is really needed there.

Just don't think we need any players. What we need is a manager who doesn't have his head up his own arse.

How anyone can't make our squad dominate this league is fucking hard to fathom.

I don't say this often but he's right. How long have we waited for Hourihane to have an opportunity to show what he can do? We'd been waiting for years for a decent midfielder to come along and once we had one (well, two if you include Lansbury) Bruce didn't play him. How many times have we had to watch Gabby meandering around before we saw Davis? Why are we pushing Adomah down the pecking order when he already has cover who's playing ahead of him? Let's stop pissing around, if Xia wants to spend money it should be on more good coaching staff!

It's more interesting to find out whether we can get rid of Richards, Hutton, McCormack, Gardner etc. than any incomings. In my opinion.

Fans have a right to moan at the moment, club's a shambles, and it stems from not doing the right thing and replacing Bruce in the summer, that decision has cost us dearly and could have repercussions for us, for years to come. Club is being run by dinosaurs at the moment.

Xia's one of the few good thing about the club at the moment. Next few games are crucial, if things don't improve the club need to act, or we risk sleepwalking into oblivion.

On the signing front we've apparently turned down a bid for Elphick, and McCormack not going to Sunderland, because Bruce doesn't want to sell to a promotion rival.

I meant Bruce and our coaching team, I have my doubts about Wyness and Round too, but I guss it's harder to judge them without knowing who does what. I don't think it can be denied that with our set-up we're behind other more progressive clubs, and that's what's allowing them to out achieve us, despite the money we've spent. A simple thing like appointing a forward thinking manager could change everything, the question is, would Wyness do such a thing, or is he stuck in his ways.

I can't believe the amount of people proclaiming that small heath will finish above us, all of a sudden just because of their signings today. Jota is a good signing but Wilshere and Song both hardly ever play because they're injury prone. They might improve, but our squad is still so much better than theirs.
