Bristol City v Aston Villa 4
Clearly we are now used to nothing less than 4 goals a game and so I shall go with Bristol City 2 Aston Villa 3
Starting 11 to be;

DeLaet..............Terry...........,....................Chester..............Taylor
Elmohamady..........Onomah.......Whelan........Hourihane........Green

1-2 to Villa. Hope Davis is fit and that Hogan can get some game time.
It was supposed to be my first game but a chest infection has put paid to that.
Still think without Jedi we have some unaddressed defence issues. Hutton absent will help im sure but i dont want to keep seeing opposition players running at our defence without being put under pressure from our midfield.

No wonder we ship so many goals! ^^
Look at the distance there between our centre backs

I'm hoping Whelan can be that man. I remember people having a right go at Jedi when he first arrived. We lost 3-1 at Bristol, lost 2-0 at Preston and let in late goals against Barnsley and Brentford with him in the side. But the more games he got, the more he obviously improved and hopefully Whelan will have the same effect on the side as far as protecting the back four is concerned. Because, at the end of the day, he's a better passer than Jedi so would probably be more productive for us moving forward.

There's rumours going around on twitter suggesting potato head might play 532 tonight? If he contrives to do that then my word he's really lost the plot now.

Bristol Away & only a 20 minute train journey for me.... Don't care what the score is so long as we have more than them at the end

people having a go at a player when they first arrive??? never, surely not, not after only 4 games? never.

Yeah I hope Whelan can be as well. In fact it does look like quite a few players maybe turning a corner - Hogan and Thor did well Tuesday and Conor had a great game on the weekend. Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see real competition for every position.
If Villa can scrape the dogshit of their shoe (the "outs" we all want gone) and everyone continues to improve, then for me the weak parts of our club that remain will only be off-field.

Really think we can win this one (we do need to get our act together away from home anyway) - 3 - 2 Villa!

Re: Bristol City v Aston Villa 4
I've just seen a stat that out of the last thirteen league games we've lost ten of those, obviously that's not good enough, and we can't carry onassuch, really need to take the game to City tonight and try and right that, otherwise the question marks over Brucey won't be going away anytime soon.
Hopefully Davis can continue his good form if fit, there's a lot of pressure on him at the moment though, as he's the only striker who can do what he does but having him in the side is probably our best bet, if we want to get the best out of the rest of our attacking players, hopefully he'll get his first goal tonight.

Not got a clue.
Obviously the last week has lifted some of the pressure off SB but can he keep our new found attacking flair going? There's no denying how fucking shite we have been away from home so could make an argument for win, lose or draw

I'm going to play safe and say a draw, which will be an improvement from last year, but deep down I'm hoping that the new found marksmanship in front of goal brings us the win, that would put us in a far better position. UTV

Im hoping for a good performance and a victory. We have the ability to beat these, if we can match them for commitment then our quality will see us through.
I've just broke up for the bank holiday weekend and I am 'on the piss me Lord' so hopefully the boys will help the nelsons flow.
3-1 to the famous AVFC.

Re: Bristol City v Aston Villa 4
Team is Johnstone, Elmohamaday, Chester, Samba, Terry, Taylor, Whelan, Onomah, Hourihane, Green and Davis.
Not sure how they're lining up, especially how Green fiits in, excpet that it will be three at the back, looks like it might 541, which seems slightly negative, although we are away from home, I guess Bruce is desperate for a formula.
