Re: Bristol City v Aston Villa 4
TEAM NEWS
On first inspection, it looks like a 532 formation is being played today. But some have suggested Chester might be playing right-back? I dunno. Just seems stupid to have messed around with the system when we won so well last week. I mean if he does contrive to play Chester right-back why didn't he just play Bree instead? SMH.
Johnstone, Elmohamady, Chester, Terry(C), Samba, Taylor, Hourihane, Whelan, Onomah, Green, Davis.
Subs: Steer, Lansbury, Hogan, Agbonlahor, Bree, Bjarnason, Adomah.

I've just noticed that O'Hare isn't even on the bench, he must be wondering what he has to do.

Don't really understand that lineup but I suppose we are going to setup not to lose and try and nick it?

He is part of the first team squad, there are a lot of games during the season and as we know injuries happen, he just has to keep doing what he is doing when called on, at some point he will become a key player, Rome was'nt built in a day. UTV

Why would you start changing up tactics when we finally got our shit together?

That's pretty scandalous. I'm starting to wonder if that fat bastard has lot the plot completely.

We don't look comfortable at the back methinks. Too much hoofing.
Runs from midfield needs to be timed better as well

Britol City look like they're playing against ten men, we're making them look like Barcelona, as usual we're absolutely pathetic in possesion, there was no need to change the formation, we should just play as if we're at home.

Re: Bristol City v Aston Villa 4
We need some possession and flow. This is shite. We are better at this football stuff so why the hell are we hoofing and why are we shit scared in possession

So apparently we've been absolute crap again? SMH potato head never learns does he? We lost the three previous games that he tried the 532 system but yet again he contrived to mess things up. Just shocking really.

Davis is great.
Whelan is a McGrath damn liability. Wouldn't be surprised if 90% of his passes gets us straight back under pressure

We took the steam out of em, now dictating things a bit, need to score now and then put it to bed.

Re: Bristol City v Aston Villa 4
Once again everytime we have a throw, no one shows for the ball, and we end up giving it away, why that hasn't been sorted out I don't know. We improved towards the end of the half though and looked a good team.

I don't agree with that he is always looking for the ball & bringing people into the game. Methinks we will see a different Villa.

Well that first half was pretty dire but Bruce at least realised that his initial selection was shit so we have ended up with no recognised right back, inspired!

How come when ever we have a throw in it ends in the opposition having possession ?
It's quite easy - throw it to a team mate

It's not the person taking the thrown in fault, it's the rest of the players not showing for it, it's almost as if we're scared of the ball, it means the thrower, has to throw it, in the general direction of one of our players heads and then it's 50/50 at best as to whether we regain possesion, absolutely diabolical to see, felt sorry for Chester.
Think we'd look a lot better if we had Bree and Adomah on the right hand side

Re: Bristol City v Aston Villa 4
Sometimes I despair, we all knew that teams would be geed up when they play us with the players we have, especially when we are on sky, and yet if we aint ripping up trees from the off we start having a go. IMO they came at us we coped and started to push back all we need to do now is score and hold onto it or score more, time will tell.
