Match thread. Villa v Fulham
Thought I'd better start a thread - sorry no poll.
So Villa welcome Fulham to Villa Park with the unusual feeling of an away win in the bag, and the noise of Villa's raucous away support celebrations still echoing up the M40.
Elphick and Richards are out, as is Grealish, who is missing the second game of his 3 match ban. Biggest concern for Villa fans might be the race for fitness of Albert Adomah, who impressed on Tuesday night.
Fulham beat Newcastle on the opening day of the season and have had a slightly inconsistent record since then, although they don't tend to draw. They have goals in them, so midfield and defence will need to be on top of their game. Fulham play a reasonable game on the break, but can let their heads drop if they concede.
All in all it should be an interesting game and the tactics that Bruce employs will be very important, given our frailties down the middle.
I predict another 2-1 win for Villa, and will be shredding my throat from the genteel confines of K4 upper holte lol.

I'll listen out for you from the genteel setting of B1 Trinity Rd. I think tomorrow all hinges onthe first 30 minutes. If we can get an early goal then I think we'll see more confidence come back and we will go onto 3 or more.
If not, then the nerves will kick in again.
A lot also depends on the fans. I just wish that the noise made on the road was repeated at VP. Too often its like a mausoleum.
Just hope we keep 3 in the middle to pressure them and don't try to play 4 or 5 strikers again.

Yet another game that doesn't appear to be on TV so we'll probably win.
It's been nearly 18 months since we had two wins on the trot and I'm sick of being the underdogs - which in this league is ridiculous - so let's beat Fulham, beat the noses and get this club back on its feet.

Oh that reminds me, Xia's offsider - the young lad whose name I can't recall - suggested on Twitter that the Oasis song would do would blaring out. If the crowd is fired up then it could indeed make all the difference in the world.

Re: Match thread. Villa v Fulham
2-0 to the mighty Villa.
Gollini to finally cure his wrist angle issue, he's young and will make the odd wrong decision but needs work on his parrying........ its ok but not if you push right back into the danger zone. An 8 degree wrist angle adjustment will cure this.
Amavi in and cissokho out, baker and chester again with hutton at rb.
Jedi the rock
JK gards Tshi Albert
Rudi
something in back of mind saying tshi banned? if so bacuna in again.
FACT............ blues are 9 points ahead of us and the bookies have the following odds for promotion.
AVFC............11/2
shite.............16/1
hahahahaha dickheads, bookies putting them in their place, love it.

Gonna be interesting to see what team Bruce picks.
Does Tshibola come back in?
Who replace Adomah if he's not fit for the game?
Does Cissokho keep his place?
Does Gestede carry on upfront?
Does Bacuna keep his place aswell?
My Team
...................Gollini.................
..Hutton...Chester..Baker...Amavi...
.............Tshibola..Jedinak......
....................Gardner............
.........Adomah...........Ayew.......
.....................Kodjia....................
Although tbh I wouldn't mind Bacuna starting In midfield again because on Tuesday he does get into the box a lot and even had some shots on goal so he showed an ability to support the attack at least.
If Adomah isn't fit then maybe push Kodjia to the right and start Gestede or Mccormack?
Whatever the case a win here would be massive. It would really show that Tuesday was no fluke and we really are starting to turn the corner.

Bruce is going to pick players that work hard for him:
Assuming Adomah is out. If not then Adomah wide and Kodjia central
Gollini
Hutton Chester Baker Cissokho/Amavi if we don't want to concede a penalty
Gardner Tish
Bacuna
Kodjia....................Ayew
Gestede

Re: Match thread. Villa v Fulham
Why Tish isn't playing is a mystery to me. I'd have him infront of all three we have in midfield.
