Fuck me these are desperate times - oh how I hanker after the days when we destroyed our opponents simply using the power of Brian Little's haircut.

Surely that wasn't in the script? Nice goal. And at our end assists from Bacuna and Lescott.

I don't think Guzan deserves any abuse though, he's merely not very good but at least he tries. Bacuna and Lescott, on the other hand, deserve everything they get.

Two lovely goals from Westwood and full respect for his reaction to both. He did well today, distributed the ball well (and gave it away once or twice) and didn't once sky it into the top corner of the Holte.

Shame somewhere along the line Grealish was told to stop as soon as he gets to the penalty area but an even bigger shame is that the temporary 'manager' took off Ayew, by far our best player in the first 60 minutes, instead of Bacuna, Sinclair or Sanchez.

Why aren't we allowed to see Ayew and Gestede on the pitch together?

Still, Toner looked good, and immediately looked better than Richards by not looking like he was only there for the money.

I still don't think Guzan deserves the abuse, he's just shit and at least tries his hardest. I don't understand the point of the long ball from goalie to whichever striker is on his own up front, there's never anyone close enough to knock the ball down to, so we always give possession away. Why not just tell Guzan to am for the opposition goal? At least that way we still give away posession, but at least there's a chance - no, wait, I was about to say their goalie might make a mistake but Guzan, that accurate? Nah. I still don't want to see Guzan play for us again. I really hope some of the balloon payment is used to pay off a load of our players.

Somehow losing 4-2 seems like a positive result! Sounded like a better performance, 1st time we have scored 2 in a game for ages. Maybe the weight is off their shoulders Wink Match thread v Southampton - Page 2 226846862

Lescott is an utter fucking clown of a defender. I've never seen anything like it and that pass back from Bacuna was so bad, it was Hodge-like. Just what was going through his so-called brain when he decided the best thing to do when he's 10 yards from the opposition goal was to hoof it back toward the goalkeeper? Wanker!

But maybe that's the Ajax way. Or something.

Pleased for Westwood. He had a decent game.

The manager: with Lescott all at sea, Richards not doing much of anything, Sinclair missing for massive chunks of the game and Bacuna being an absolute bell-end, he takes off Ayew. So glad the crowd informed him that he didn't know what he was doing because I bet he thought it was some kind of masterstroke.

What an absolute abortion of a team we have. Especially at the back.

The new lad, Toner, looked absolutely sick with nerves. Poor kid. He did ok though.

Grealish had the chance to lay on a good ball near the end and restore some totally underserved pride and grab a point but obviously had his mind on what drinks he was going to order and which road he'd end up on at 3am.

Hutton, Ayew and Westwood looked decent. That's about it. Guzan I agree with others doesn't try to be a sugarbag, he's just really shit. Quite what a Bunn thinks watching him flap about, is anyone's guess.

The paper planes were ace though.

Eric Black........ “I can only pick on 37 years of football experience. That’s all I go on.

“I can’t pick it depending on what journalists say and what supporters say. That would be unprofessional of me.

“I can understand the fans frustrations and they will definitely have ideas about the team they would want to see, I’ve no doubt about that.

Well said Eric, stick to your guns mate, because its really working...........Muppet, we need a manager urgently.

Another inept tepid display, as soon as you see Westwood & Sanchez starting in the same XI, its game over, I support Black with his actions towards Okore & Flabby but his team selections / substitutions leave a lot to be desired.

I cant understand some of other posters support towards Okore though, he refused to sit on the bench against Bournemouth, he was given 48hrs to reflect on his actions, and then he told Black he wouldn't play for Villa again this season, no wonder he has been bombed out.

I never want to see the following play for Villa again;

Guzan, tries but is totally useless
Okore; no coming back from his latest antics
Lescott; complete carthorse
Richards; I thought he would be a good signing, useless
Cissokho; useless
Sanchez; gets in the way of the opposition only to give it back to them, hopeless
Westwood; what does anyone see in him?
Gana; he never tracks back, idle is an understatement
Richardson; poor as
Sinclair; anonymous
Bacuna; if it wasn't for Lescott, he would safely be the worst Villa player I have ever seen
Gabby; complete tool

Lets just hope the latest sale rumours are true because we are a pantomime of a club!

It should read...Can we please have eleven supporters on the playing surface instead of this crock of shit that is currently masquerading as proffesional football players. Many thanks.

When Long missed that sitter in the first couple of minutes I was expecting another St Marys type performance and to be 6-0 down after 20 minutes. Lescott is truly shocking and Bacuna is no better.

Black doesn't want to play the kids with the current atmosphere but I really do think the crowd would not be at all hostile if Guzan, Richards, Lescott, Bacuna, Richardson, Sinclair and Sanchez were been replaced by U21's.

If Lescott's comments about a weight off their shoulders meant he gave even less of a shit than before then he was right?

I can't see the crowd getting on the backs of U21's no matter how bad they fare on the big stage so the only reason NOT to play them is either a concern that the FA will fine the club for fielding a weakened side (LOL) or Black's 37 years of experience telling him that sooner or later, the senior players will actually go through an entire game without a catalogue of fuck ups.

Of course, it'll be later. Much, much later.
