Can we possibly turn this mess around ?
Re: Sunderland v Aston Villa Saturday 2nd January 2016 3pm ko
Fucking absurd how footballers can make crazy pay for years while constantly being injured. Any other profession you'd be sacked ages ago or bankrupt

You're not wrong Joppe, the other thing I hate are managers golden handshakes. You were sacked as you were terrible at your job, I don't get 4yrs wages if I get sacked for being shit at mine.. Which is probably just as well but totally besides the point!

I read today that Gardner may play! I hope he does, we may as well use the rest of this season to flush out the good from the bad once and forall! You never know we might even happen on something which turns it all around.
Grealish has class just needs to mature and quit living to impress his tribe. He has time to do that but the question marks are mounting up.
It also appears Gabby is out because of a back injury nothing more, shame as he alwasy seems to do ok against Sunderland but then thats just how this season is going!
I agree we'll likely lose again but it's another game in which Remi can learn about the squad so que sera sera! It's all about making sure next season is ready to go now.

Gardner seems also to give a shit about Villa, which can only be a good thing. I like him too, and along with Grealish is the kind of player who we need to see in a decent run of games (see Veretuot and Ayew under Sherwood).
Grealish is a good player but needs to be played in a system that suits him, and in a 4-1-4-1 that could only be with someone like Cissokho behind him (a defender who can't go forward and an attacker who can't defend).
Talking of whom, do we have Cissokho back and available to play today?

For me Gardner has to start. Is he better than Westwood, Sanchez, Bacuna? Nobody really knows but he surely can't be worse so let's give him a go. Hepburn-Murphy will be getting a chance today due to lack of any other striker (KOZAK!!) So might as well try Gardner too.
Gardner Gana Veretout
Gil/adama Gestede/R H-M Sinclair/grealish
I'd prefer a 442 though, seems the only way we score is two up front

Win Lose or draw It's another game Remi will be able to learrn about his squad from...as will we especially as we have injuries and suspensions. Would be great to see what impact Gardner can have and also i am intrigued to see how Remi deals with the loss of Ayew.
As for the result i don't care! If we win great it gives us all a tiny glimmer of hope, if we lose or draw then so what? I'm getting excited about having a fantastic promotion season next year!! Win win!!

Sorry to re-iterate my point about Gardner but he can hardly be fit, but I know I talk nonsense!
Anyway at least Remi has thrown the shackles off, not certain if we will see enough of the ball for our creative players to contribute enough but absolutely nothing to lose anymore.

Still think Bunn deserves a chance, still can't understand why Traore isnt in the lineup only player who can make something happen and Kozak should start over Gestede all day long.

Once again... All kinds of possession but our attack is completely toothless and our opponents score against the run of play... How many times have we seen this same thing over the course of the season???

I seriously believe that Garde's first win as Villa manager will be next season.
We are pitiful.

Gil and Grealish are anonymous. They're too slow to play this 4-1-4-1 system.

Hutton off Bacuna to right back.
Adama and Kozak on and take Grealish off and pepper the new front 2 with crosses.

It is immensely frustrating as I don't think we're playing poorly aside from having no attack in us.
Fuck it, someone give Gardner a call quick and tell him to get his togs on - at least his mum Villajk can shut up about him then and we can go back to forgetting about him.

Absolutely fucking shocking goal to concede. That's us done now, relegation it is and we deserve it. We stink this league out.

Guzan should be ashamed getting beat from they angle at the near post. We are the architects of our own downfall every week

Car crash of a season - most worrying thing is that a lot of players don't even look motivated - I shudder to think what is going on behind the scenes..
