First Striker?
TBAR PREM GREATEST XI - First Striker Vote.
So Mark Bosnich won very easily as did Mark Delaney with over 50% of the vote! However the left back was tight with Stan just edging out Little Alan Wright!! And God (as expected) blazed the vote as did Laursen! What a back four that is! Well five if you include Bosnich! To start the midfield Jimmy Milner won the right hand side berth - few including me though think he's better in the centre..... And Ashley 'webcam' Young take the left wing berth. The first CM with 42% of the vote is Gareth Barry and Merson just edges out Ian Taylor to take the last CM position.

Delaney - - - - - McGrath - - - - - Laursen - - - - - Staunton
Milner - - - - - - Merson - - - - - - - Barry - - - - - - - Young

So lets vote on first Striker in the 4-4-2 formation.

Has to be Yorke...I am not sure who I will choose to partner him though. That will be a tough one. Do you go for pace alongside him or an old fashioned number nine?
Decisions decisions.

Had to be Yorke for me. Will really struggle to find his partner though as it could be any one of six others. Personally I think he would have been a perfect foil for Tekkers.

They all had their merits, but Yorke did the business for Villa over a longer period than any of them.
Having said that, the Saunders/Atkinson partnership was great for a while. I still think we'd have won the first Premier League if Atkinson had stayed fit.

Yorke would be my choice but I can't believe Agbonlahor is not even listed as an option while Collymore is?!
