Australia Watch
Last 10 minutes against Honduras and Jedi looks to be hobbling around a little. Hopefully it's just although of cramp.

Well interestingly, Ross Mccshandy has scored again! What is that 5 goals that he's now scored since going to , 1, an easier league, or 2, a better team, or 3,abetter manager, or 4, much much warmer environment. .
Or maybe it's just one of those things.
Oh well. As long as we go up. Incidentally I am on a Cisco course this week, (for the it bods out there) and there's a few guys down from Aberdeen for the course as well, here in brum. They're saying we r going to buy their keeper Joe Lewis in January for 2 mill.

To be fair the goal fatty scored was a penalty and I read the full match report which said he missed a hatfull of chances. It also said that they were using him as a target man, expecting him to receive and hold up play initially (until a sub came on) as a lone striker, which isn't his game. I'd say it's exactly what he needs as that's all Bruce knows how to use strikers, so if/when he does come back he'd better get used to the striker wilderness role.rogermuffin69 wrote:Well interestingly, Ross Mccshandy has scored again! Personally I think he's a busted flush and will never regain his form, love to be wrong, but I don't think I am.

Fair enough, just caught the end of the game on bt on Sunday. So didn't see too much of the blob. And it is easier league.

Our man Mile, just scored a free kick to put the Aussie 1-0 up in their WC playoff. (Deflected kick)
20 mins left and he's played all of both games so far Andy looked good in them both

Hat Trick!!
You couldn't write this, another spot kick.
Take away the goals and he's been the big difference between the 2 teams in both games... and we'll still have to put up with Whelan on the weekend!

Re: Australia Watch
Strange how we have all these free-kick specialists in our team (Jedinak, McCormack, Snodgrass, Hourihane, Lansbury) and with the exception of one goal from Hourihane, none of them seem able to score a free-kick for us. It's something we've lacked over the years, even Ashley Young who had a reputation has been a specialist didn't score that many for us.

To be fair to Jedi, he has played virtually no football, then he has traveled around the world, played two 90 minute games and then to travel all the way back and expect him to play is obviously too much to expect, just wish that Whelan would bugger off around the world never to be seen again!

Even after all of that he'd still offer more than Whelan!

Re: Australia Watch
The two standout players in that 3-1 were Jedi and Rogic. I've not watched Australia play for McGrath knows how long si this Rogic chap was new to me but, bloody hell he was good!
Gonna get destroyed in Russia though.
