GTC v Sheffield Wednesday

A very interesting round!

Not least because myself, @gdale1 @4BetLite and @Wriggle tried to play a 3rd joker. NORTY!

Just so you know:
@Wriggle played his against Preston & Burton
@4BetLite played his against Burton & Newcastle
@gdale1 played his against Blackburn & Burton

I'll pop up a list of who still has jokers available when I kick the next round off.

Anyway, @gdale1 was only 107 out but suffered the over-guess penalty and his well-time joker does not count which means @Army villain snuck into first place, just 143 out (no penalty). Your first win? Well done!

@gaffer85 collected the most points (46) having played a legitimate joker. Both he and @Army villain are well off the pace as far as the title race goes but they've obviously played a huge part in the overall leaderboard!

So we have an ambiguous issue here. Because we do get two jokers so I took it that you elected to play one of them. But I'm guessing you'd forgotten that you'd already played one against Burton.

So is it your fault for forgetting you'd played one or my fault for not reminding you that only had the one left?

Downside 1: If I take that joker off you, you'll lose 12 points as you did ok that round. That'll put you back to 19th place.
Downside 2: I'll have to re-calculate 5 rounds.
Upside: You'll have a new joker.

TBH it reads to me like Wriggle meant "If we get 2 jokers I'll elect to play one this round, if we only get 1 joker, then I don't want to play one this round, I'll keep until later"

As there are most definitely 2 jokers and it was always clear from day 1, it has to be that we say Wriggle used one, on that occasion.

I'm happy if others have a different opinion, or I've read it wrong, but that's how I'd say it reads, plus I have nothing to gain as although I'm having a go for fun, I can't win any prizes.

I guess i should have worded it "do i have 1 or 2 left, if i only have one then i'll keep it..." as that's what i meant.

Don't worry about it though Trotters as its only a bit of fun and i'm not exactly challenging (although would have been some nice points with a joker in this round...
