Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Well if Hernandez wanted to come here so badly he would sign on the dotted line, if he is being greedy eff him i say we move on and hopefully get a good striker and a creative midfielder,
I have not seen much if anything of Kodjia tbh

Anyone know how much he'd cost? That article makes him sound great but McGrath knows as I'd never heard of him!

We were linked with Rolan last season and a fee of around £15/18 million was touted for him, the bits i have read and seen of him he is attacking pacey skillful and is one of them players that will get us off our seats at VP, he can play wide like Ayew along the front, i like him and would be drooling if we got him tbh

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
I know youtube can glamorise a player but Rolan as those video's show can explode into pace and take players on and will score goals, if we get Rolan AND Kodjia then i honestly believe we will get promotion, i would have preferred Hernandez and Rolan but either or and we would be getting that South American flair with Rolan we have been lacking.

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Rolan would be a very good signing but by the looks of it Kodjia is the man. Firstly here is another episode of "dumb tweets of the day"
And
SMH..honestly why are people so bloody naive. Firstly lets compare Hernandez and Kodjia shall we?
Hernandez= 26 year old international
Last season he got 20 goals and three assists in the championship. The season before he got four goals during a whole season in the Premiership.
Kodjia= 26 year old international
Last season he got 19 goals and three assists in the championship. The season before he got 15 goals for Angers in the French in ligue 2 in France.
So what exactly is the difference? There was the sum total of ONE goal between them last year even though Hernandez was surrounded by better players with premiership experience.
So to me this is very smart business because having researched Kodjia during the last window he's got a lot of finishes in his arsenal i.e he can dink the ball, curl it, he can use both feet and head it etc. Plus he's got a lot of pace and skill too.
Assombalonga is a decent lad but he's just come back from a massive injury and most of his goals thus far have come in League one and League two. Granted he did score 15 goals in the championship a few years back and I wouldn't say no to him but it would be a gamble imo.
BSB 1979
Never seen kodija play. Not gonna bullshit and say he is awesome. From what I see on Twitter it seems like he is not worth £15m panic #avfc
And
The AVFC Faithful
@Dr_TonyXia please get assocmbalonga instead of Kodjia he's younger quicker and has scored this season, Kodjia would be a flop #avfc

Let's hope he is better than Ayew?
Does anyone think we will get 2 strikers and then ditch Ayew?

I still like Ayew but it feels like he's just not found his scoring boots yet.

I think Ayew's head is else where tbh but he has gone off to international duty alledgedly so maybe he is staying although the Greeks wanted him or Cardozo, it makes you wonder doesn't it wouldn't shock me if we sign Rolan and Ayew goes to Greece.
Totally contradicting what i just said Kodjia was supposed to be on international duty and he is signing for us so Ayew may end up leaving yet we shall see.

I won't pretend I've watched them two a lot, but to my eyes Hernandez looks much more suited to spearhead an attack with Grealish and McCormack feeding from the hole. He simply is quicker and looks a better finisher. But I've reserve my judgement until I've seen more of Kodjia

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
Seems lie it's Kodjia? Has a decent record so it seems.
Where are people on international duty? I know some South American teams stay in Europe as most of their players are based there? Not Uraguay though it seems who play Argentina and Paraguay?

I know the Bristol fans themselves didn't think Kodjia was worth £14m when it was reported Derby had agreed that fee.
But I don't care, not my money.

Re: 2016 Summer Transfer Speculation
I think that Ayew will play better once the window is closed. I'm sure he'd rather be playing in the EPL so his rather selfish play reflects his way of putting himself in the window.
I'd love to see a quality striker come in but I also think that there's goals in Ayew/McCormak/Gestede once the players behind them have settled. Relying on a star player always makes me nervous.
In short; I'm chilled.

I disagree. Kodjia to me looks the more natural finisher. HERE is a video of his goals from last season and HERE is Hernandez's goals from last season and I think it's pretty obvious who is better infront of goal. Hernandez's goals were mostly tap-ins and penalties and imo we need much more than that. Tbh having watched these videos again I'm pleased we're not getting Hernandez now.

To me it looks like Kodjia has trouble standing on his own feet. How you can call that Bambi a natural finisher is beyond me.
