Arrr Tekkers or Carew now that is a bloody tough en, ok for my pure love Carew he was just a character and he loved us and in all fairness on his day he was unplayable, Benteke would be the obvious more talented overall but for me i will stick with Carew true Villan and as said above he still always mentions us.

Laursen was untouchable for 18 months but injuries cost him whereas Olof was consistently played and at a massively high standard at centre half or right back so I'd say Mellberg's additional qualities and avoiding of injuries edges out Laursen's greater natural talent.

I am sorry i will sit on the fence on this one same as you love them both proper Villans and legends in my eyes McGrath i miss them big fella's playing for us even though Laursen was injured a lot when he played he took everything with him in every challenge, i'm sure his head was metal plated or somet.

Something only about a couple of years ago i learned about tbh i always wondered why we done so well winning the lot and then suddenly that legends team went off the radar and didn't win more major trophies, bloody sickening when you think about what could have been for our club and legacy built upon, that is defo unforgivable in the sense of halting Villa's chance to dominate by Deadly, it's important history is talked about otherwise i would never have heard about it and others i bet who was too young to know what went on back in the day.
